2024 Silverado HD Interior Update Review

2024 Silverado HD Interior. Originally scheduled for the 2023 model year, Chevrolet’s heavy-duty pickup will receive a mid-cycle facelift a year later. The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD will be updated, and based on what we know so far, there will be a number of modifications that will make this pickup far more competitive.

According to what we know so far, one of the most significant changes will be a completely rebuilt inside, which will follow in the footsteps of the light-duty 1500 model, which just received a completely redesigned cabin. Additionally, the exterior design will be revised, and significant changes are anticipated under the hood as well.

The revised 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD is anticipated to debut within the coming year.

2024 Silverado HD Interior

This will be one of the most significant 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD improvements. According to our current knowledge, the new cabin will be substantially impacted by the recently redesigned cabin of the half-ton model.

The new cabin will feature far more appealing aesthetics. The new Silverado 1500 features an abundance of technologically advanced features, and we have no doubt that they will also be included in the HD variants. This refers to both the enormous infotainment display and the new digital instrument cluster. Obviously, we also rely on new connection features and driver assistance functions, such as Super Cruise.

The remainder of the cabin will include new aesthetics, but the layout will remain the same. Therefore, you can anticipate typical cab types and bed sizes.

Clearly, this will be more than a standard facelift. This will be a fairly extensive upgrade that includes modifications to all elements. First, there will be some changes to the aesthetics. The test animal has been spotted, but it is still disguised. Therefore, it is difficult to discuss specifics, although it is certain that the front end will undergo the most significant alterations. Additionally, the rear end will be updated with a new tailgate, taillights, etc.

In addition to cosmetic enhancements, we may see suspension upgrades. This specifically pertains to the rear axle, which would be outfitted with a new design that would deliver a smoother ride while also enhancing towing and hauling capabilities.

Engines for 2024 Silverado HD Interior

Also, big developments are anticipated under the hood. According to the most recent sources, the diesel engine will receive a significant increase in power and torque. The current version of the engine produces approximately 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque, but the update will increase the maximum output to an astonishing 500 horsepower and 1,100 pound-feet of torque. This 6.6-liter V8 turbodiesel engine will continue to operate in conjunction with a 10-speed automated transmission.

In contrast, the 6.6-liter V8 gasoline engine will continue to produce the same amount of power and torque. It will be equipped with 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, we anticipate that the existing 6-speed automatic transmission will be replaced by a 10-speed one, the same as the diesel model.

2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD Price and Release Date

We believe that the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD could debut as early as next spring or summer, while it’s too early to confirm a specific date. In any case, we anticipate the base model to cost approximately $40,000 USD. Obviously, the competition between Ram HD and Ford Super Duty remains unchanged.

2024 Silverado HD Interior Update

For the 2024 model year, the Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD, Chevrolet’s two largest pickup trucks, will be updated. A year ago, the half-ton Silverado debuted a flashier interior design that has since been applied to the majority of trim levels. The changes to the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD trucks are not merely superficial, however.

New Transmission

The facelift and cabin remodel help keep Chevy’s heavy-duty pickups looking new, but the Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD are primarily meant for labor. Their upgraded powertrains come into play here. The basic gas-powered 6.6-liter V-8 produces the same 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque as the previous model.

However, it is now paired with a 10-speed Allison automatic transmission instead of a 6-speed transmission. The new transmission in the gas-powered vehicle, according to Chevrolet, maximizes the engine’s peak power. Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) of 2024 Silverado HDs powered by gasoline increases from 24,000 to 26,000 pounds.

The optional Duramax diesel 6.6-liter V-8 has the same Allison 10-speed automatic transmission, but its output increases substantially. It now produces 470 horsepower (up from 445) and 975 foot-pounds of torque (up from 910). Updates to the control architecture, combustion system, and turbocharger are credited for contributing to up to 25 percent more low-end torque and improved fuel economy, according to Chevrolet.

However, we do not know how the modifications will impact fuel economy, as the trucks are exempt from EPA testing and the manufacturer is not providing estimates at this time. The 2024 Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD will continue to have maximum tow ratings of 22,500 and 36,000 pounds, respectively.

Redesign

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverados, from the entry-level Work Truck to the top-of-the-line High Country, all get redesigned front grilles. In addition to the newly styled grille and C-shaped LED lighting elements, the LTZ and High Country trim levels have dual-projector headlights with animated sequences for when the driver approaches or departs the trucks.

Chevy also offers new wheel options for the ’24 Silverado HD, including chrome 20-inch wheels for the LTZ and polished 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires for the dual-rear-axle 3500HD. In addition, 20-inch off-road tires are also available with select options. The Midnight Edition, a blacked-out exterior option, is also offered for the first time on the High Country.

2024 Silverado HD Interior. Inside heavy-duty Silverados, a new dashboard layout with prominent digital displays has been implemented. Although the revised layout and technology features are not available on the Work Truck or Custom models, they come standard on the LT and higher.

The configuration consists of a configurable 12.3-inch gauge cluster and a 13.4-inch touchscreen with Google-based software and applications. Additionally, the revamped interior features a revised center console with a wireless charger and additional cupholder space. The most luxurious Silverado variants feature leather-wrapped surfaces and wood accents. There is a unique Nightshift Blue interior option that is exclusive to the High Country and features only premium materials.

The Silverado HD trucks also include enhanced driver aids. The list includes adaptive cruise control that functions while towing a trailer. As well as a blind-spot monitor with a greater range when towing a trailer. In addition, a new alert notifies users if they exceed the truck’s GCWR. And the camera view that effectively makes a trailer transparent has been updated to operate with fifth-wheel and gooseneck configurations.

Price

The 2500HD and 3500HD versions of the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado will go on sale in the first part of 2023. The company said pricing information will be released closer to the on-sale date. Chevy also announced today that the heavy-duty Silverado would receive an off-road-capable ZR2 model for the first time, but it won’t be available until after the regular trucks.

2024 Silverado HD Interior News

We’ve known for some time that Chevrolet was modifying the exterior and inside of the Silverado HD. The day has arrived, and while the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD will be easily recognizable due to its friendlier exterior. The biggest news is found within. That is, at least for LT trim levels and higher.

Before exploring the brand-new inside, let’s examine the external modifications. The divisive front end of the Silverado HD, with the large grille dividing the headlamp, has been toned down. Essentially, Chevrolet inverted the C-shaped daytime running lamps used on the GMC Sierra. The new design separates the reworked grille and headlights for a cleaner appearance. And sits atop a new lower fascia with standard tow hooks.

Aside from the Chevrolet emblem on the hood scoop, the remainder of the pickup remains largely unchanged. In addition, six other hues are available: Sterling Gray, Dark Ash, Radiant Red, Auburn Metallic, Lakeshore Blue Metallic, and Meteorite Metallic. The six-position Multi-Flex tailgate will remain an option. And a new ZR2 will be added to the lineup for those want more HD power in a specialized off-roader. Chevrolet is not yet prepared to discuss this truck, though.

Interior

2024 Silverado HD Interior. As previously stated, the interior of the 2024 Silverado HD is the actual story. If you select for at least the LT trim, you will receive a brand-new dashboard with a customisable 12.3-inch digital driver display. The old model’s outmoded, cumbersome middle stack has been replaced with a sleeker, more compact arrangement that includes a 13.4-inch touchscreen.

Chevrolet got this design cue from the classic square-bodied trucks of the 1970s and 1980s. The center console is remodeled with a new wireless phone charger that enhances the console’s utility.

In terms of technology, the 2018 Silverado HD receives adaptive cruise control for towing. It is meant to account for the additional bulk of a trailer in order to maintain a safe distance from cars ahead. The existing Transparent Trailer technology is adapted to accommodate gooseneck trailers.

Trailer Blind Zone alert now encompasses a greater area, and available head-up displays allow drivers to keep their eyes on the road. Chevrolet keeps physical buttons and knobs for commonly used functions for individuals who prefer an analog experience.

Powertrtain

Under the hood is either a 6.6-liter gasoline V8 or a 6.6-liter Duramax diesel engine. The Allison 10-speed automatic transmission is now the standard transmission for the gas engine, increasing its gross combined weight rating to 26,000 pounds. Chevrolet claims the Duramax turbo diesel produces 470 horsepower (346 kilowatts) and 975 pound-feet (1,322 Newton-meters) of torque. The diesel’s low-end torque is increased by 25 percent for greater towing and low-speed operating.

In 2024, all previous trim levels will return, including the work-oriented WT and Custom pickups. The range-topping High Country receives a new High Country Midnight Edition with black chrome exterior details, black emblems, and 20-inch black wheels.
