In the larger, three-row, seven-seat Kluger, the hybrid system will produce a bit more muscle than the RAV4’s 163 kW of power. The Kluger Hybrid will be sold with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Hybrid AWD adds an additional electric motor to the rear axle to provide traction to the rear wheels when skidding is detected at the front end.
Meanwhile, the naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine will continue to be part of the lineup, producing around 200 kW of power, either with front-wheel drive or conventional mechanical all-wheel drive.
