2023 Mazda CX-60. The 2023 Mazda CX-60 is on its way to the market. However, while the CX-50 SUV will be accessible in the United States, the new CX-60 will be available in Australia. Mazda is now perplexing us all, but this is the most recent information we have. After all, the Mazda CX-60 is a fantastic five-seater crossover. It is now official that it will come at the end of 2022.

2023 Mazda CX-60 Design
The new Mazda CX-60 2023, which will have either rear or all-wheel drive, six-row engines, and arrives in 2022, is truly unexpected. Looks like the CX-60s are being filmed on a street in Japan. It’s much larger than the CX-5, but it doesn’t have a very distinctive design. It looks like the CX-5, but Mazda’s grille is more square. BMW-style trim is also on the bumper.
Also, the red CX-60 looks like a sportier version, based on its lack of chrome accents. If you look closely, you can see how the belt line goes up quickly on the C-shaft again, just like on the CX-5. In the video, we don’t see the back of the CX-60. We don’t think it will be very different from other Mazda SUVs. It’s likely that closer, better quality photos will show the new CX-60’s distinctive pedigree better.
2023 Mazda CX-60 Interior
The upcoming 2023 Mazda CX-60 will have a more modern look than the brand’s current lineup of SUVs. Passengers can expect a very comfortable cabin that can accommodate up to five people. With a 10.25-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, upholstered seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, the CX-60 will be a well-equipped SUV.
If you buy the high-end model, you get things like a powerful sunroof, a larger screen, and a Bose audio system. The carbon version should also be available, with a more sporty interior that has plenty of black elements in it. While this is unofficial, the CX-60 should also offer optional third-row seating.
2023 Mazda CX-60 Engine
Under the hood, there’s a good chance you’ll see some kind of plug-in hybrid setup. Of course, the Mazda CX-60 2023 will offer a conventional combustion engine as well. Many expect the standard engine to be a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with roughly 190 horsepower.
An optional 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbo engine, producing more than 250 horsepower, should also be available. The CX-60 will offer standard rear-wheel drive and an optional all-wheel drive configuration. More details will be available in the coming weeks.
2023 Mazda CX-60 Release Date And Price
The all-new 2023 Mazda CX-60 will go on sale in Australia, later in 2022. We don’t know if this crossover SUV will make it to American shores as well. The price is not foreign today. Some reports estimate the starting price at around $30,000.

2023 Mazda CX-60 Update
The Mazda CX-60 rear/wheel drive, all-wheel drive, scheduled for release in 2022, was meticulously considered. CSK Review Channel shared a short YouTube video of two CX-60 models filmed on a street in Ehime Prefecture. For commercial shots or B-rolls.
It’s noticeably larger than the CX-5, although it doesn’t have a completely different design language. The headlights are attached to the grille as on the CX-5, but the Mazda’s shield-shaped grille is more square. There is also a vertical cutout in the bumper, reminiscent of the BMW Luxury line. The red CX-60 appears to be the sporty variant, judging by the lack of chrome. The side panels are often wrinkle-free for a clean look, although the way the beltline rises sharply on the C-shaft is reminiscent of the CX-5 again.
The footage doesn’t give us an idea of the CX-60’s rear end, though we don’t expect drastic changes from Mazda’s current SUV. The CX-60 was taken from a distance, and it’s possible that the closer, higher quality photos will also show the new car’s different proportions. The CX-60 is one of five new SUVs that Mazda is set to release in 2023, and it’s the only one confirmed so far for Australia. It will be launched here before the end of 2022.
First revealed was the CX-50, a mid-size and more off-road focused SUV for the North American market associated with the CX-30. The CX-60, CX-70, CX-80 and CX-90 will all use Mazda’s new rear-wheel drive/four-wheel drive architecture built at the same factory in Japan. The new SUV will offer a variety of new engines.
The company hasn’t gone into much detail about the new engine, but we do know that one option is a four-cylinder hybrid. The Inline-six will be called Skyactiv-X petrol and Skyactiv-D diesel. Both will have a 48-volt electric system for smooth stop/start and add a few jolts of low torque.
As one of Mazda’s most successful export markets, Australia always gets a lot of product shipped, so don’t expect the CX-60 to be the only new SUV being sold here.
In fact, Mazda told CarExpert that the CX-60/CX-70/CX-80/CX-90 are all available to us, and that only decides which ones to make excuses for. According to Mazda, the two-row CX-60 and three-row CX-80 focus on markets with “narrow roads and smaller parking spaces” such as Europe and Japan.
The two-row CX-70 and the three-row CX-90 will have a “wide body type” according to Mazda, with an emphasis on markets such as North America “where larger models with a large presence are preferred.”
Mazda is currently implementing a similar market segmentation strategy for its three-row SUV, with the CX-8 sold in markets such as Asia and the CX-9 in North America. Australia, uniquely, gets both. The CX-60 will be sold alongside the familiar CX-5 — which will get a slight facelift for 2022 — but at a higher price tag to be paid to the Lexus NX and Genesis GV70.
It’s confirmed that the CX-90 will replace the CX-9 directly in North America, so don’t expect Mazda’s domestic SUV lineup to be too messy. Mazda Australia has previously indicated that it will not compete directly with similarly sized BMW and Mercedes-Benz models.
“In Australia there is an obvious luxury area where prices reflect that, but that is not what we are looking for. We are offering more options but we are paying a premium,” said Vinesh Bhindi, managing director of Mazda Australia. “Our plan is to offer products that are rated as excellent or appear to be excellent, but the value equation has to remain,” he said.

2023 Mazda CX-60 News
The 2022 Mazda CX-60 will be launched at the start of the new year, according to a company official. A representative from Mazda UK confirmed the disclosure date when responding to customers on Twitter, according to Japanese post Creative311 – but the post appears to have since been taken down.
With the CX-60 confirmed for a local launch, Wheels has contacted Mazda Australia regarding the leaked timing information, and this story will be updated with a reply. The CX-60 has been confirmed to debut in Australia by Mazda – the only model left out of the company’s revised lineup, which was announced in October.
The five-seater CX-60 was captured on video by Japanese YouTube channel CSK Review, while the model is professionally filmed, showing the SUV just months away from its unveiling.
While details haven’t been announced yet, we do know that the CX-60 will be powered by the same lineup of six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines as the upcoming Mazda 6 2023. Following Mazda’s ‘Kodo’ design language, the CX-60 emulates the basic styling found in the more rugged CX-50 revealed earlier this week, but especially with the addition of new trim on the front panel.
While the white model appears to be the ultimate alternative, a second red car can be seen with black exterior highlights – likely bearing the Mazda CX-60 GT SP badge when it lands in Australia.
The CX-60 is part of Mazda’s new international ‘Big Product’ portfolio, which includes the CX-70, CX-80 and CX-90 SUVs – the latter two will offer three rows of seating – but the CX-60 is so far the only confirmed vehicle for the Australian market.
