As for performance, the upcoming crossover will offer several engine options, and a mild hybrid variant could be available in 2023.
2023 Kia XCeed Design
The South Korean manufacturer calls it an “urban crossroads”. The 2023 Kia XCeed looks like a crossover, but we think it’s a far cry from urban. However, this model is still new and comes with a modern look. Despite being based on the Ceed hatchback, the XCeed feels sturdier and has more muscle. 2023 Kia XCeed Update

Design
Stylish, expressive and modern in design, the new Kia XCeed represents a sporty alternative to traditional SUVs. A product of the European Brand Design Center in Frankfurt, Germany, the Kia XCeed was created under the supervision of Gregory Guillaume, Vice President of Design at Kia Motors Europe.
“When we designed the all-new Ceed lineup, we didn’t have a tendency to design crossovers,” explains Guillaume. “But when we developed designs for other models in this group, we realized that a body style like this could capture the sentiment and sportsmanship of ProCeed, but also offer something new at the same time. Urban crossovers seem to embody these values well.”
The new Kia XCeed is more emotional and dynamic in look and feel than its taller competitors, while offering something different from other models in the Ceed lineup. The only body panel that was carried over from its five-door hatchback sibling is the front door.
In profile, the relatively long bonnet flows into the A-pillars mounted behind the front wheels, giving the car a sportier silhouette from the rear. The wheelbase remains the same as on other models in the Ceed lineup (2650 mm), and the front and rear sections of the Kia XCeed on the five-door hatchback extend by 25 mm in front (up to 905 mm) and 60 mm. At the rear (up to 840 mm).
The sharply angled tailgate, and rear deck lip that sits 60 mm higher than the Ceed five-door hatchback, enhance the CUV’s dynamic coupe-like appearance in the rear of the cab. The Kia XCeed features a choice of 16- or 18-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in 205/60 R16 or 235/45 R18 tires with high traction.
The front and rear of the vehicle also represent the difference from the traditional ‘face’ of the Ceed model family, which distinguishes the Kia XCeed from its peers. With a body measuring 1,826 mm (26 mm wider than the Ceed 5-door), the CUV has a more defined face, with a more prominent grille and larger lower air intakes. The headlights are newly designed, with Ceed’s ‘Ice Cube’ LED headlight markings more angular, topped by a light turn signal that flows back over the wheel arches.
At the rear, new taillights emit sleek, high-tech LED headlights that, when viewed from certain angles, appear to project forward onto the car’s shoulders. The thick, sinuous lines running horizontally across the tailgate and rear bumper give the car a flatter, more stable stance.
The ride height and elevated bodywork also convey the same powerful image that attracts buyers to other SUVs in Kia’s product line. Ground clearance for the Kia XCeed is 172 mm on 16-inch wheels and 184 mm on 18-inch wheels, and up to 44 mm over the Ceed five-door hatchback. The wheel arch, side trim and silver roof rails make this car look more solid, like an SUV, with a metallic curtain on the rear bumper enhancing this effect.
The new model will be offered in a choice of up to 12 coats of paint, with a new Quantity Yellow coloration unique to the CUV in the Ceed range. Inside, the Kia XCeed carries the contemporary cabin architecture of its Ceed stablemates, with a sculpted center console directed slightly toward the driver.
