First and foremost, new model has a more appealing style that is entirely different from the existing one. The majority of the modifications occur in the front and back.

Official images are available, and we got our first look at the new Kia logo, exotic headlights, and a different grille design. Kia has not revealed how much the 2023 Sportage will cost and what trim levels will be available. We expect the restyled model to come sometime next year, possibly in the fall.

2023 Kia Sportage Design

If you’re looking for a family SUV, the Kia Sportage 2023 is well worth the wait. The current model debuted in 2016 as 2017, and it needs a lot of attention. Sportage’s styling is excellent, and the front end dominates all over the segment. For 2023, the manufacturer has made some adjustments by adding boomerang lights and a new “digital tiger face”, which features a modern grille. Overall, the design is definitely more futuristic, mostly aimed at younger residents. Below the grille are wide lower inlets and fog lights.

The side profiles are also heavily sculpted, featuring a D-pillar trim and a black floating roof. However, on the back, we can see some similarities with the recently introduced EV6. The larger LED taillights come as a unique sliding plate.

2023 Kia Sportage Interior

Inside, the new 2023 Kia Sportage looks amazing. First of all, there is a spacious cabin and plenty of storage space inside. The Sportage is distinguished by a large digital display on the dashboard and many other interesting details. Step into this SUV, you’ll love every detail.

From the first image we got, the interior was fresh thanks to the eye-catching two-tone color scheme, and the cool detailing of the air vents on the dashboard is quite distinctive. In addition, the center console is equipped with a rotary shift knob, push-button start, and many other controls that fit perfectly into the piano black bezel. However, Kia has not yet revealed what trim levels will be available.

2023 Kia Sportage Engine

Kia hasn’t released any mechanical details about the new 2023 Sportage. But from the rumors we’ve heard, it looks like this new model will borrow the same engine from Hyundai Tucson. This means we can expect a 2.5-liter inline-four as the base engine with the possibility of plug-in and plug-in hybrid options.

We also expect Kia to add a more powerful 2.5-liter turbocharged engine as an optional upgrade. As for the transmission, the manufacturer will likely use a six-speed automatic transmission which has proven to be similar to the previous generation. We’ve also heard that the engine will be more fuel efficient than before.

2023 Kia Sportage Release Date And Price

The first images of the upcoming 2023 Kia Sportage reveal an impressive design and a more attractive cabin. In addition, Kia added a large digital display on the dashboard and more interesting details. As mentioned, we expect the redesigned Sportage to come sometime next year.

Many believe that the first appearance will occur in the fall. As for the price, the manufacturer has not disclosed any information, but according to many speculations, its cost is about 26 thousand dollars. Also, expect more details about the US specs in the coming months.

2023 Kia Sportage Update

The Kia Sportage often overshadows its compact SUV competitors, such as the Toyota RAV4, Honda HR-V and Nissan Rogue. However, that is all changing now, as the Sportage has a fun redesign for 2023. Learn about the release date, price and new features of the Kia Sportage 2023.

The Kia Sportage 2023 release date is Q1 2022. In the US, a gas-only Sportage model will be available at this time. The Sportage Hybrid model will be released at a later date.

What is the cost of Sportage 2023?

Kia has yet to release pricing information for the Sportage 2023. However, we can take a look at the Sportage 2022 price/cost for clues. Pricing for the 2022 Sportage ranges from $24,090 for the base LX model to $33,750 for the SX Turbo. Given all the Sportage 2023 upgrades, you can probably expect a price increase for the Sportage 2022.

Sportage 2023 has the most significant redesign in its history. It features a contrasting blend of smooth surfaces and strong design elements. The most notable change was at the front, with a more technical tiger nose grille and distinctive daytime running lights. In addition, the Sportage 2023 has angular fenders, sharp shoulder lines and slit-shaped taillights.

Inside the Sportage 2023, the cabin is more futuristic than the outgoing model, featuring a dual panoramic curved screen with two 12.3-inch screens. One screen for the easy-to-use infotainment system, while the other is for the digital instrument cluster. Additional interior tech on the Sportage 2023 includes a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless smartphone charger, Harman Kardon premium audio system, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration for smartphones.

The Sportage 2023 is larger than the Sportage 2022, which results in more interior space. It’s best-in-class with 41.3 inches of rear legroom and a class-leading rear cargo capacity of 39.6 cubic feet.

In terms of performance, the Sportage 2023 is based on a more powerful 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, developing 187 hp. Additionally, despite its larger size, the Sportage 2023 has better fuel economy than the Sportage 2022, with an expected 8% increase. As previously mentioned, a hybrid powertrain will also be offered for the 2023 Sportage. Kia will provide details of the Sportage Hybrid at a later date.

The Sportage lineup has been expanded for 2023 with the addition of X-Line, X-Pro and X-Pro Prestige rims. All new models have all-wheel drive as standard and feature SynTex synthetic leather upholstery and a tread-like stitching pattern. The Sportage X-Line has a sporty and tough look. Distinguished design elements and features include satin chrome on the fenders, raised roof rack rails, 19-inch wheels, and satin chrome on the roof racks, side mirrors and window shutters.

The Sportage X-Pro and X-Pro Prestige are aimed at drivers who love off-road adventures. Off-road features include 17-inch matte black off-road wheels and a B.F. Goodrich, multi-terrain driving mode with Sport, Smart, Snow and Normal settings. Additional features for the Sportage X-Pro and X-Pro Prestige include LED fog lights, LED headlights, ventilated front seats, an eight-way power front passenger seat and an optional two-tone roof.

Potential buyers of the 2023 Kia Sportage can expect the restyled SUV to be launched in early 2022. A hybrid model will follow. With a stylish new look, more interior space, and many new features and new finishes, the 2023 Sportage is an attractive option for the compact SUV segment.

2023 Kia Sportage News

Kia is almost ready to bring the redesigned 2023 Sportage to the United States, and we now have more details on the new model that will hit our shores in the first quarter of 2022. It’s bigger than ever and with a wide range of trims. This new compact SUV has an attractive design inside and out and offers a new off-road option called the X-Pro. A petrol version with a four-cylinder engine will arrive first, with a plug-in hybrid to join the lineup later.

The new Sportage has a wheelbase that is 3.4 inches longer than before, and the overall length has increased by 7.1 inches. This makes for a whopping 40 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seat on top, which beats out its corporate cousins, the Hyundai Tucson and Honda CR-V. The US version has the same headlight setup as the Global model we saw earlier this year.

Like the Tucson, the base engine is a 2.5-liter inline-six that produces 187 horsepower in the Sportage. An eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive are standard, with all-wheel drive optional. The Sportage hybrid will come later, but Kia has yet to provide details about this powertrain. AWD models also have a bit more ground clearance, and two models available — the X-Line and X-Pro — play a role in the Sportage’s off-road credibility.

The X-Line is a look package with different fenders, wheels, roof rack and black trim. The X-Pro has additional upgrades including 17-inch wheels with BF Goodrich all-terrain tires, a heated windshield and LED fog lights. Other trim levels include the LX, EX and SX, and the SX, X-Line and X-Pro models offer the Prestige Package with an added twist.

Higher trim levels feature a modern interior with two large screens: a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch central infotainment screen. The base model LX has an 8.0-inch touch screen. An attractive touchpad under the infotainment screen controls the radio and the HVAC system, and the two physical buttons on either side can change function depending on what is displayed, being the volume and adjustment buttons or the temperature buttons for climate control.

A driver assistance system that includes Lane Keeping Assist and Forward Collision Warning is standard across the board, but blind spot warning and adaptive cruise control are optional.

Kia hasn’t announced pricing for the 2023 Sportage just yet, but we expect it to be a little higher than the current model, which costs between $25265 and $36,425. The non-hybrid will go on sale in the US in the first quarter of 2022, and the hybrid will likely follow a few months later.
