2023 Jeep Commander. The much awaited Jeep Commander 2023 has been confirmed. Do you recall the genuine Jeep commander? It was a short-lived Jeep with a large number of seats and a long trunk form. The 2023 Jeep Commander, on the other hand, is unlike any prior model. The new vehicle appears to be similar to the Jeep Compass, but the Commander will have larger inside room. The new Commander SUV, on the other hand, will be released first in Latin America.
We’re not sure if this seven-seater variant will be available in the US, but we hope so. In addition, China will receive an improved version called Grand Commander. Since the new Commander will be built on the Jeep Compass chassis, the third row may be a bit limited. As for the United States, the Grand Cherokee L will be presented.
2023 Jeep Commander Interior
The 2023 Jeep Commander will likely use technology similar to the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. This may include a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system and a 10-inch digital display. It will also support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While that’s just speculation, luxury and comfort amenities like heated and ventilated seats, an electric tailgate and automatically foldable third-row seats should be offered. Jeep will also add a suite of driver assistance systems.
This includes systems such as blind spot warning, traffic sign recognition, and highway assist. We will continue to follow the development of the new Jeep Commander. If it becomes popular in South America, it will likely reach the United States. The smaller version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee L would certainly be cheaper, but the third-row seats are only suitable for children.
2023 Jeep Commander Design
The former Commander was a mid-size SUV with a box-body structure and a standard rear-wheel drive setup. This model was available in the US from 2005 to 2010. Many fans will remember the model that debuted in 2018 along with the seven-seat Grand Commander variant in China. The new crossover mocked here is said to be Compass-based, but with a third row added after the wheelbase is extended. This means that the Commander comes with a longer wheelbase and more space than the Compass.
On the other hand, the leader will look unique. However, on the outside some parts will be recognizable and will not be revolutionary. The new Commander, which rides on the FCA Small Wide platform that also supports the Renegade, appears to have a more boxy design than the Compass variant. Remember that this model is designed primarily for Latin America. Therefore, we think the all-new Commander will deviate from its Chinese sibling.
2023 Jeep Commander Engine
According to recent reports, a hybrid powertrain will be offered. The Jeep Commander and Grand Commander PHEV 2023 will use the same 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine called the Jeep Hurricane in the Wrangler.
For comparison, the Compass uses a 2.4-liter Tigershark engine in the US, as well as a 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder in Europe, and a pair of MultiJet II four-cylinder outputs. However, we cannot predict which engines will power the new South American leader.
2023 Jeep Commander Release Date And Price
The upcoming 2023 Jeep Commander for Latin America will go on sale in the near future. Jeep also plans to add another SUV to the South American market. According to the latest rumors, North America may get the Grand Wagoneer with an extended wheelbase as early as next year. Pricing for Commander and its hybrid variants are not available at this time.

2022 Jeep Commander Update
Most of us don’t remember but the Commander was one of those panels Jeep used in the mid-2000s. It came in 2005, as an extended version of the Jeep Liberty, now known as the Jeep Cherokee. It was an extended version, with three rows of seats, but it never managed to establish a better position in the market. So, it’s no wonder that its production ended just five years ago. Meanwhile, a new model called Grand Commander has been launched for the Chinese market. Now, we’re hearing rumors that the board may make its way back to North America, in the form of the 2022 Jeep Commander.
At this point, officials are still holding out on the matter, which makes sense given that management is currently busy with the next generation Grand Cherokee and the return of the Grand Wagoneer. However, this does not mean that we can not speculate on a possible return, which was first rumored in several years.
2022 Jeep Commander Design
When it comes to basic design features, it’s hard to be precise at this point. However, most unofficial reports indicate that the 2022 Jeep Commander can easily be a modified version of the great leader of China. It will be placed between the Cherokee and the Grand Cherokee, with a wheelbase of just under 111 inches. It falls between a compact and mid-size SUV in terms of dimensions, but it is certainly enough for three rows of seats. Given the expected size and level of luxury, we consider the Volkswagen Tiguan a natural competitor. Also, there are many other models of similar sizes.
Mechanically, the Chinese model uses proven design solutions. It rides on a wide, compact platform and shares a lot of parts with the Cherokee. Regarding the design, you can see the typical design language of a Jeep. Of course, some exclusive details too. We’re assuming the North American version could come with a few modifications, but most of them will likely stay the same.
Outback
Although it is mainly designed for the Chinese market, the overall quality is at a fairly high level. The dashboard not only looks attractive, but also uses high-quality materials. Therefore, we don’t expect many modifications to be made to adapt this interior to the needs of the American racer. However, we might expect to see a slightly longer list of standard equipment and more advanced technical stuff.
As for interior space, the Chinese version comes standard with three rows of seats. On the other hand, the American model will likely come with two, while the third row will be optional.
2022 Jeep Commander Engine
The Chinese version comes standard with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. That’s good for about 230 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Most likely, the North American version will have a more powerful version of this engine, the same engine as the Cherokee, with a total output of 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The V6 option doesn’t seem very likely.
On the other hand, something that definitely seems possible is electricity. We believe the version of PHEV sold in China could be offered in North America as well. This model also uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine but gets help from an electric motor and a 13 kWh battery.
Jeep Commander 2022 Release Date And Price
At this point, the 2022 Jeep Commander is nothing more than a rumor. So take a report that it will arrive in North America next year with great reserves. If it does, we’re assuming the base price will be below $30,000.

2022 Jeep Commander News
Jeep has always maintained a significant market share in the passenger car segment globally. Its diverse product offerings targeting markets across SUVs, Jeep Cherokee and Jeep Grand Cherokee offer excellent benefits to Jeep buyers. The Jeep core offers good profit margins, and as such, the automaker is unlikely to lose its grip on its large global fan base.
Although the company hasn’t released a new design for the Jeep Unlimited yet, we expect it to gain a good foothold in the future due to its great features and accessories as well as the price factor. Jeep has maintained very high rates of customer satisfaction despite being a market leader in many sectors, and its reputation in this field continues to grow every day.
Feature
Oddly enough, we now have some spy photos, and the new Jeep Commander looks a lot like the Jeep Compass. The leader has the form of a boxer. This is the main difference between them. It runs on the FCA Small Broad platform that supports Renegade and Compass models.
Exterior And Interior
In terms of design, the original 2022 Jeep Commander looks compact and modern. The latest model from Jeep Compass is the driving force behind this SUV. First of all, it moves on the FCA Small Large platform that also supports the compass and is placed on the Huge and Cherokee models from Cherokee. With a wheelbase that should be less than 111 inches, this model certainly offers a cabin much larger than the Compass. In design terminology, early renderings reveal regular Jeep design terminology.
Of course, some unique specs are offered, such as a more attractive upper front, somewhat different but the same grille, and sleek headlights. Within the Jeep Commander 2022, the overall quality of the new Jeep Commander 2022 is likely to be at a high level. However, no offer or possibly a spy image is given for validation.
Some records indicate that the new 2022 Jeep Commander will have a spacious cabin of about three series that can accommodate seven passengers. If the two-seat model can come regularly, or the next row can be recommended, we can never be sure. Overall, we need to rely on a slightly longer list of regular hardware and more tech maintenance than we found on the latest Grand Cherokee.
Customize
The 2022 Jeep Commander recently revealed plans to launch four electric vehicles and ten plug-in hybrid vehicles by 2022. The upcoming 2022 Jeep Commander could use some of these. The closest possibility is the current PHEV system we found in the latest version of the Wrangler 4xe.
This model uses a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a powerful electric motor, 17.3 kWh battery and a number of 2-liter turbo engines. The system delivers about 49 mpg (equal mpg) and an electric driving range of just 25 kilometers. Of course, we assume that at least one more machine will be provided.
Jeep Commander 2022 Price And Release Date
The solution is of course. The new Jeep Commander 2022 chassis has been examined, and its design appears to be based largely on the more compact Compass model. If it’s only available in Latin America, or if it makes it to the US after that year, we can’t be sure.
This information is unofficial, although it is suspected that North America may get a Grand Wagoneer with a long wheelbase. You can count on more reports in a few months, although exact Leader release dates and rates aren’t available at this point.
