2023 Genesis GV60 Release Date Price And Redesign
2023 Genesis GV60. The Genesis GV60 2023 is a small all-electric SUV that will go on market late next year. Although it shares many components with the upcoming Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5, the GV60 also borrows key Genesis design features, such as the wide grille and twin headlights and taillights. To match the higher price tag, we expect the cabin to include more polished materials and advanced high-tech amenities, but no specifications have been disclosed.
Other than that, there is no information about the GV60 engine, but we think it will be similar to the Ioniq 5. The model will be offered in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. With the 2023 GV60, Genesis continues to evolve as a luxury brand. When Genesis tried to expand its electric car line, it joined the all-electric G80 sedan previously revealed.
2023 Genesis GV60 Design
The 2023 Genesis GV60 features a stylish exterior design. It’s not a futuristic or eccentric model, which is refreshing to look at. The GV60 has a classic look. The GV60 SUV is featured in these photos with a distinctive yellow exterior paint. Of course, Genesis will offer up to ten exterior colors.
Moreover, the different cutting levels will provide a lot to customize. The dimensions of the car, as well as the list of basic and optional equipment, are still not clear. Anyway, we think the GV60 is stunning, with its sleek design and distinctive double-striped headlights and taillights.
2023 Genesis GV60 Interior
Again, we don’t have all the cabin specs yet. On the other hand, the 2023 Genesis GV60 will be a luxury crossover with a luxurious cabin. Everything inside looks elegant and elegant and is made of various premium materials. While we doubt that a side-view camera and interior-mounted monitor will be available in the US, the “Crystal Sphere” EV shift lever is a foregone conclusion.
When the car is turned off, the leveling device, according to Genesis, acts as a mood light. When the GV60 is on, the transmission dances and flips slightly, allowing you to select drive settings such as neutral, steward, park and reverse.
2023 Genesis GV60 Engine
Other than that, there is no information available about powertrain options. However, we think the Genesis GV60 2023 will be on par with the Ioniq 5. The car will be offered in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants, with the latter providing more power.
The Ioniq 5 with RWD setup delivers about 225 horsepower and a driving range of 300 miles. In addition, the all-wheel drive version produces 320 horsepower, but the mileage is less by about 270 miles. We expect the GV60’s power output and rated range to be slightly higher to compete with other models in this segment, including the new Tesla Model Y.
2023 Genesis GV60 Release Date And Price
Although not yet official, the price of the new 2023 Genesis GV60 will start at $55,000. The all-wheel drive version will be a little more expensive. After all, the GV60 will be a very luxurious crossover with outstanding performance. Sales will start in 2022, most likely in the summer.
2023 Genesis GV60 Update
Genesis is bringing a second electric model to its luxury lineup, this time in the form of the GV60 crossover. The GV60 will share the platform with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 SUV and will sit alongside the G80 Electrified Sedan when it goes on sale sometime next year. The GV60 incorporates the design elements found on other Genesis models, but lacks the brand’s large trapezoidal grille running between the two-element headlights, replacing the slimmer lower grille on the front bumper. Inside, the GV60’s cabin looks very luxurious, with a large, monolithic screen that doubles as the instrument cluster and infotainment system.
The GV60 will be Genesis’ new model and SUVs for the three brands when it comes to market. Genesis says US deliveries are expected to begin sometime in 2022, which leads us to believe the cars will be categorized as 2023 models.
Genesis hasn’t released any pricing information or said what features will be standard and optional on the GV60. We expect prices to start at around $55,000, which will help the new SUV compete head-on with competitors like the upcoming Audi Q4 e-tron, Volvo XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge. As we learn more about the costs and equipment of the GV60, we’ll update this story in more detail.
Engine, Transmission And Performance
Three different engine combinations will be offered, starting with a rear-wheel drive setup consisting of a single 225-hp electric motor and moving to an all-wheel-drive setup with twin 314-hp motors. The performance model will also be offered with two engines, a standard all-wheel drive system, and a combined horsepower of 429. Genesis claims that the top model will be able to hit 60 mph in just 4.0 seconds.
Range, Charging And Battery Life
The EPA hasn’t weighed it yet, but Genesis says the GV60’s base rear-wheel drive will provide maximum driving range per charge with an estimated 280 miles. Using all-wheel drive reduces the estimated range to 249 miles per charge, and if you want a performance model, the range for that is claimed to be 229 miles. All versions come with the same 77.4 kWh battery pack.
Interior, Comfort And Shipping
As the smallest SUV in the Genesis lineup, the GV60 isn’t as spacious as the larger GV70 and GV80 models. However, it offers a unique interior that has a more sophisticated look. Genesis has taken some chances here and incorporated some nice decorations and features, including a gear selector that flips while in the garden and has a crystal ball shape. The GV60 also offers several new technologies, such as a facial recognition system that allows owners to unlock and start the vehicle without the need for a key. Other biometric technologies such as a fingerprint reader have also been integrated into the design of the SUV.
2023 Genesis GV60 News
Genesis has a new electric model in its lineup of luxury cars. This is the GV60 crossover. The GV60 will be able to share a common platform with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 SUV. You’ll also be sitting next to the electrified G80 sedan. Genesis has not yet revealed the full specifications of its first model dedicated to electric vehicles, but it will include the Genesis GV60.
While not everyone will love the style of the Genesis GV60 2023, we do love many of the design elements. E-GMP is the name of the GV60 platform. This means that the GV70 will not be smaller but you may have a completely different driving experience. For a more cohesive look, the clamshell hood unites the hood and fenders into one unit. A nice nod to other Genesis models is the design of the quad taillights and headlights. A luxurious bonus: the door opens automatically when approaching the vehicle.
While the electric SUV’s exterior design is controversial, it’s easy to see why the interior exudes luxury. The cabin is made of premium materials, with attractive contrast stitching and seat tubes. The central dashboard’s touch screen blends with the digital instrument cluster to create a large, unified display. One of the cabin’s most interesting features is the “crystal ball”, located in the center console. The ball acts as an ambient light when the car is turned off. The GV60 is powered and the ball spins to switch between drive, reverse, and neutral.
The Genesis GV60 2023 should have both single and dual drive configurations. The EV6 is a graduate of the GT, producing 576 horsepower and 546 pound-feet. It may be available in two battery sizes: the larger 58 kWh and the 77 kWh. Initial Certification data shows twin electric motors with a potential power output of 436 horsepower and a range of 265 miles, based on Korean emissions standards. While it’s too early to say if the GV60 will deliver the same performance, we expect to learn more over the coming months.
