2022 Volvo XC50. To begin with, this vehicle is classed as a mid-size SUV. The 2022 Nissan X-Motion SUV has a highly attractive and modern appearance. According to Nissan, the external design mixes traditional craftsmanship with a standard SUV. However, the pattern appears to be precisely as stated. In general, the façade is perplexing; it appears both angular and seductive. The front end adds a large V-shaped grille and U-shaped headlights. The front bumper has a modern and sporty look. 21-inch aluminum alloy wheels are standard. Tires are laminated, which is another company’s approach that surprises us. The electric retractable roof looks good and the taillights look futuristic.
2022 Volvo XC50 Design
Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the interior design of the 2022 Volvo XC50 SUV Concept. After all, it’s still a concept, so full details aren’t available. However, we were able to see some of the interior and the results were promising. The Nissan video shows us features that are closer to fiction than real, but understandable. On the other hand, we like the possibility of having up to seven digital screens inside the cabin. The dashboard is finished in wood and all the controls are basically touch sensitive. The cabin can accommodate up to five passengers. According to Nissan, drivers can control the infotainment system with eye movements and different types of gestures. This probably sounds like the future ahead, but realistically, we’re a long way from there.
2022 Volvo XC50 Interior
The Japanese automaker did not specify any information about possible transfers. The 2022 Volvo XC50 SUV is still a concept, so the engine department is just as ambiguous as it is with any other concept. However, a hybrid or electric transmission is safe in this story. We can take the IMx crossover as an example and assume that the SUV will have two electric motors. Since it’s an SUV, we can safely expect 400+ horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. Plus, a high-capacity battery pack is a must, so expect an impressive driving range per charge—more than 300 miles. Nissan Xmotion SUV price, specifications and release date.
2022 Volvo XC50 Engine
We think even Nissan has no idea of a possible launch date or pricing details. It may be too early for such a futuristic concept, but who knows what tomorrow will bring.
The D5 diesel engine produces about 300 horsepower and approximately 300 pound-feet of torque. We cannot predict exact starting numbers because this is a completely new model. Of course, the most interesting transmission is the T8 hybrid transmission This combination would look to use a 2.0-liter unit with an electric motor. According to Volvo, the total output will be around 390 horsepower. An all-wheel drive setup will be optional and recommended on the XC50 Hybrid. The hybrid model will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds.
2022 Volvo XC50 Release Date And Price
The Swedish automaker has not released any official information or at least some closer details. The price of the upcoming 2020 Volvo XC50 is still a mystery. If you look at the idea of where the 2020 Volvo XC50 is between the XC40 and XC60 models, it can be easy to spot the price. In addition, the all-new SUV coupe will seek to serve as a replacement for the BMW X4 and Mercedes-Benz GLC.
With all these facts, the price will start around $42,000. Make sure there are two trim levels, so the price will go up to $50,000. It is very likely that the latest Volvo model will arrive in the first quarter of 2020.

2022 Volvo XC50 News
Volvo’s unique Swedish perspective is evident in every product of the brand, including the stylish and thoughtfully designed best-selling 2022 XC60 SUV. Clean lines and sleek trims help the XC60 achieve a nimble position in traffic, while the cabin serves as a unique oasis from the perils of modern travel.
Three different engines are offered here, including a high-performance hybrid variant. Cargo space isn’t as generous as competitors like the Audi Q5, BMW X3 or Mercedes-Benz GLC-class, but we think most buyers will find it practical enough. Technology is incorporated throughout, including a 9.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and a host of driver assistance features to help keep the XC60 bright.
What’s new for 2022?
Volvo replaces the XC60’s Sensus infotainment system with a more modern Android-based interface borrowed from the electric XC40 Recharge. The screen is the same as the vertically oriented 9.0-inch, but the new software offers more customization options, a voice assistant feature, and Google Maps navigation.
Several subtle design changes also help celebrate the 2022 model year, including a revised grille, a reworked front bumper, updated wheel designs, and the introduction of Volvo’s City Weave cloth upholstery as an option for the first time on the XC60. In addition to the updated design and new infotainment, Volvo also says there are improvements to the XC60’s radar, camera and various ultrasonic sensors that provide data for the SUV’s driver assistance systems.
We admire R-Design’s bold looks and have enjoyed the dynamic performance of the T6 powertrain in our XC60 test vehicle for the long term, which is why the R-Design T6 is our recommendation. The added cost compared to Momentum’s base finishes is worth it here, as all sorts of features come standard. The R-Design comes with a Harman/Kardon audio system, a power liftgate, and four-zone automatic climate control.
Engine, transmission and performance
Volvo offers three different engine combinations, the T5, T6 and T8, in the XC60, all mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, but an upgrade to a T6 or T8 Recharge powertrain adds all-wheel drive. Under the hood of the base XC60’s T5 badge is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that puts out 250 horsepower. Its time of 6.4 seconds from zero to 60 mph in our tests is decent but uncomplicated. The T6 is powered by the same 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine as the T5, but a supercharger has been added to give it more appeal.
With 316 small horses in his stable, he feels more enthusiastic and performed on the test track much faster. The T8 hybrid powertrain borrows the engine from the T6 and combines it with a range of electric motors totaling 400 horsepower on Recharge trim or 415 on the Polestar Engineered model. The XC60 rotates well, feels tied to the road while driving, and turns confidently, but it doesn’t inspire vandalism like the Porsche Macan. The ride can feel a little rough when driving over rougher stretches of road, but on soft sections it’s nice and quiet.
RANGE, CHARGING AND BATTERY LIFE
Using a Recharge or Polestar model adds the T8 plug-in hybrid powertrain, which has an electric range rating of 19 miles. The XC60 T8 can be charged at a public charging station or at home via 110 or 220 volt outlets, but Volvo also offers a useful feature that can charge the battery with power from the SUV’s gasoline engine when needed.
Fuel economy and MPG in the real world
The EPA estimates that front-wheel-drive T5 models should deliver 22 mpg city and 29 mpg highway; Adding all-wheel drive reduces both numbers by 1 mpg. The more powerful all-wheel drive T6 model has ratings of 20 mpg city and 27 mpg highway. In real-world highway fuel economy tests, the T5 and T6 XC60 exceeded Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates with scores of 29 and 28 mpg, respectively; However, so did the Lexus RX350, which achieved a score of 31 mpg. For more information about the fuel economy in the Volvo XC60, visit the EPA website.
Interior, comfort and cargo
With a rich interior and materials that mirror more expensive Volvo cars, the XC60 is like owning a leedakah and eating it too. The quiet and comfortable cabin also offers adult accommodations in both rows. Clean lines and high-quality materials add a distinctly Scandinavian flavor to the XC60’s cabin, and we expect nothing less from a modern Volvo. Decent cargo carrying capacity puts the XC60 middle of the pack among its competitors in our tests; With its rear seats folded out, it accommodates 20 of our hand luggage. Interior storage space is limited and the single luggage compartment is among our smallest we’ve ever measured
Information, entertainment and communication
All XC60 models come with a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display that runs Volvo’s latest Google-based software interface. The system offers various customization options and provides voice controls through the Google Assistant. We’ve used a version of this system in the Polestar 2 electric car and found it to be responsive, but its menus take a while to get used to. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, as are Bluetooth connectivity and a built-in Wi-Fi access point with 4G LTE data connectivity.
Driver assistance and safety features
Volvo’s commitment to safety is evident in the XC60, with driver assistance features such as automatic emergency braking and lane keep assist as standard across the range. For more information about the XC60 crash test results, visit the websites of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Key security features include:
Warranty and maintenance coverage
Compared to its competitors in this segment, the XC60 has an attractive warranty policy. Three years of scheduled maintenance is a convenience that Volvo buyers won’t have to pay for separately either.
