2022 Skoda Kodiaq RS. In Austria, the high-performance Skoda Kodiaq RS 2022 was tested alongside the regular model. At first glance, the seven-seat SUV seems to be getting a mid-cycle refresh. The front and rear of the Kodiaq RS, like the regular Karoq, are camouflaged. We can see that he’s been dipped in a bright new hue of red that suits him.
From the information we got, the next model will come with slightly modified bumpers and updated lights. In addition, the new model will retain the 2.0-liter Biturbo diesel engine that currently produces 237 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The release of PHEV is also confirmed and we have some details about it.
2022 Skoda Kodiaq RS Design
As mentioned, spy photos of the new 2022 Skoda Kodiaq RS high-performance car are finally available. This model was tested by spies for the first time with standard. First of all, we note that the RS is painted in a new bright red, while the front and rear ends are completely camouflaged.
Interestingly, the RS features a split-matrix headlamp design and a familiar grille. However, the spied prototype does not have entrances on the outer edges as we can see on many high-performance models. Overall, we can expect the finished model to feature small, leaded black inserts and edges. On the back, changes are difficult to detect by camouflage. Overall, the Kodiaq RS is the large SUV that looks more attractive than usual.
2022 Skoda Kodiaq RS Interior
Unfortunately, the photographers haven’t taken any photos inside the new Skoda Kodiak RS 2022, but it certainly won’t differ much from the standard model. So do not expect a revolutionary interior. However, since this model is a high-performance sports SUV, comfort will be at a high level.
We also heard that the RS model will have a new dash with vertical vents and a larger-than-normal infotainment system. Additionally, the Kodiaq RS will get more driver aids such as forward assistance, predictive cruise control, side assistance, traffic jam assistance, etc.
2022 Skoda Kodiaq RS Engine
The latest 2022 Skoda Kodiaq RS may be offered with some powertrain options. Most likely, the manufacturer uses the 2.0-liter TDI which can also be found on the Tiguan and Passat models. Interestingly, this engine will be available with two turbochargers instead of just one. From the information we have obtained, this engine will be able to generate 237 horsepower and 297 pound-feet of torque. As you can see, this is not impressive, since the high-performance models in the same category offer much more.
The next possibility is that the manufacturer is using a new PHEV variant. If the latest information is correct, the Kodiaq RS will have a 1.4-liter TSI petrol with 156 hp. Additionally, this model will also use a 115hp electric motor and a 13 kWh battery. As with many SUVs today, we expect a six-speed automatic transmission as standard.
2022 Skoda Kodiaq RS Release Date And Price
The new Skoda Kodiaq RS 2022 has been tested recently and we can see some refreshments in the norm. Overall, the RS looks bigger and sportier. According to the latest news, the next model will start at $ 65,000.
Moreover, this form should be introduced in the coming months. Obviously, sales will start at the end of the year. More details about the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq RS 2022 will be available after the first event.
2022 Skoda Kodiaq Rs 2 Tdi Dsg Biturbo Cena Line Interior
It is time for Skoda’s largest SUV to get a makeover to avert the midlife crisis. The Kodiaq was launched in 2016 and sold in more than 60 countries, and has been produced in more than 600,000 copies, including the sporty-looking Kodiaq GT exclusively available in China. The mid-size SUV sold five or seven seats, was produced in four floors and was a huge hit for the Czech brand.
It’s not easy to spot cosmetic settings right away if you are not familiar with Kodiaq. There is a redesigned hood and a more vertical front grille, while the headlights are slimmer than before and use LED matrix technology as an optional equipment. The changes made serve a functional purpose, as the Kodiaq is more aerodynamic than before after adjusting the fenders and installing a new roof-mounted spoiler.
Depending on the trim level, the updated SUV can be obtained with a choice of 17 to 20-inch wheels and some have been retrofitted to reduce drag. The high-performance Kodiaq RS rests on a new set of polished 20-inch wheels painted metallic black and fitted with aerodynamic plastic shields. Additional wheels that were previously unavailable for secondary versions are being released to give customers more options.
Upon entering the cabin, the optional perforated leather-wrapped comfortable seats are operated with a face-lift and feature a massage function along with heating and electrical adjustment. Some trim levels are also available with eco-friendly seats made from recycled vegetable materials, while the base model has new fabric upholstery. Although this is not a BMW, the optional M package for the trim level comes with a combination of leather and fabric upholstery.
The dual speech steering wheel we’ve seen on other Skoda models will be added to the Kodiaq, along with more advanced LED ambient lighting. There’s an updated Canton Sound System with ten speakers (higher than the previous eight) with a box-mounted subwoofer, along with the latest 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and 9.2-inch touchscreen.
As previously reported, the Kodiaq RS is inspecting a twin-turbo diesel engine. Instead, the 2.0-liter TSI featured on the Octavia RS will be installed in the three-row SUV, with 245 hp, or 5 bhp more than the BiTDI. It’s also 60 kilograms (132 lb) lighter, while the seven-speed DSG-modified transmission has decreased 5.2 kg (11.4 lb).
Skoda doesn’t say how much power the petrol unit generates, but we do remind you that it drives 370 Nm (273 lb ft) in the TSI-powered Octavia RS. If this number were carried forward in the Kodiaq RS facelift, it would represent a significant reduction in diesel torque of 500 Nm (369 lb ft).
Other engines available include the 150hp 1.5-liter TSI for the base front-wheel drive Kodiaq only, which will be the only version with a six-speed manual transmission. 190 hp 2.0 TSI is also available, as are the 2.0 TDI Evo with 150 hp or 200 hp. Depending on the powertrain, buyers can order an SUV with a seven-speed DSG and an optional all-wheel drive system.
After today’s presentation, the Skoda Kodiaq will go on sale in Europe from July.
2022 Skoda Kodiaq Rs 7 Seater Seat New Petrol Modelljahr
The following Skoda Kodiaq RS 2022 was spied on yesterday. The Kodiaq will become the company’s first SUV to carry the iconic RS badge. Moreover, the Kodiaq is already one of the most profitable brand cars. For 2022, this model will be renewed and the RS version will have two new features. However, the redesigned Kodiaq SUV isn’t on the cards.
Instead, Skoda will provide a micro-refresh mid-cycle. This includes minor exterior and interior adjustments that will get more technology. The performance is impressive and the Kodiaq RS is one of the fastest seven-seater SUVs on the planet. Sales will begin in the next few months.
2022 Kodiaq RS spy photos
Finally, the new high-performance version spy photos are available. The Skoda Kodiaq RS 2022 stands for “Rally Sports” and most of its novelties can be seen at first glance. Interestingly, this SUV has camouflage front and rear. The bumpers have been fixed and Skoda has also modernized the lighting system.
This quick model will have a full LED setup which is great. The LED matrix arrangement is almost the same as on the revamped Skoda Superb. Overall, the new Kodiaq RS looks very attractive and takes on a sporty stance that provides a sporty look.
Unfortunately, the Skoda Kodiaq RS 2022 will not be distinguished by such a revolutionary interior. Nevertheless, this sporty SUV is aesthetically pleasing and unique. While the base model is similar to competitors like the VW Tiguan or the Nissan X-Trail, the RS model is sportier and straighter. Comfort is high standard and Skoda offers many suede materials.
The dashboard features vertical ventilation holes and a larger screen is essential for this model. For 2022, the Kodiaq RS will also receive more driver assistance aids. From what we hear, predictive cruise control will be offered as standard. However, we are still waiting for Skoda to release more interior details.
Powerful diesel engine
You will be amazed at the choice of powertrain. While more established automakers opt for turbocharged or powerful V6 petrol engines, Skoda will offer a diesel engine. The 2.0-liter TDI engine which debuted on the Tiguan and Passat is available. Interestingly, this engine comes with two turbochargers instead of just one. To be honest, the result isn’t that impressive. It delivers 237 horsepower and 297 pound-feet of torque.
However, it suffices to make the Kodiaq RS one of the most powerful SUVs on the planet. The hybrid variant is one possibility. If that happens, the Kodiaq RS will implement the same system as on the Superb iV. The 1.4-liter 156hp TSI petrol engine will be combined with a 115hp electric motor. The hybrid version will offer a 6-speed automatic transmission and a 13 kWh battery.
