Toyota has not yet released the pricing.
The Nightshade Edition includes black trim parts for the front trim, mirror caps and door handles. The rear deck spoiler and shark fin antenna match the exterior color, but if you buy this package, Midnight Black appears the natural choice to complete the car’s subtle look.
Front-wheel drive models feature five-spoke 17-inch wheels. The four-wheel drive version comes with 15-inch multi-spoke wheels. Both designs have dark color and black inserts and nuts.

2022 Prius Nightshade Update
It was only a matter of time before the Toyota Prius joined the ranks of its stable teammates by taking on the “kill” look. For 2022, Toyota has given the Prius a swoon-worthy treatment by introducing the new “Nightshade Edition”. And while Prius has always been reputed to be a “green car,” this year shows us that black is the new green.
For those of you who don’t know, there are 10 other models in the Toyota lineup that have received the Nightshade Editions, so it’s no surprise that Prius finally got it. And while we all wish this package meant some sort of performance improvement, unfortunately it doesn’t. In fact, it is the basis of appearances.
That doesn’t mean it’s not great, because the Nightshade treatment includes black badges, black wheels, black headlamp accents, and mirror caps. The dimming effect also extends to the interior of the vehicle.
Each Nightshade Prius will have a SofTex black interior and a semi-gloss black center console. The interior will also feature heated and electric front seats, chrome door handles and a SofTex-wrapped steering wheel. According to Toyota, the Prius Nightshade will come standard with a 7-inch touchscreen and a six-speaker JBL audio system.
As always, Apple Carplay and Android Auto are standard and you’ll also get Amazon Alexa compatibility. Keeping your mobile devices charged won’t be a big problem either, as the Prius Nightshade comes with a USB 2.0 port and two USB 2.1A charging ports, along with an additional input jack. If your phone has wireless charging capability, you will also enjoy the Qi Wireless Phone Charging Case that can accommodate larger phones.
Prius Nightshade Edition is safer than ever, as it also comes standard with Toyota’s Star Safety System. This system includes improved vehicle stability control, traction control, brake assist, and automatic start / stop system to improve fuel economy. Additionally, the Nightshade Prius is equipped with Toyota’s Safety Sense 2.0 system, which includes Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and bike detection, to name a few.
How much will the Prius Nightshade Edition cost?
There is no official information on the price of the Toyota Prius Nightshade Edition yet. However, it should fall in the medium to high range of $ 20,000, as this is generally a mid-level setting. Each Nightshade Prius will be offered as a front-wheel-drive or four-wheel drive model and buyers can choose from three colors: Midnight Black Metallic, Silver Metallic, or Interestingly Super White.
Of course, we will personally choose the black exterior as it complements the dark look better than the other two colors. However, the Nightshade pack provides nice contrast to the silver and white options. It’s also worth noting that Toyota only plans to produce a 3400 Nightshade Edition Prius, so if you want one, you can probably act fast.
