2022 Peugeot 5008 Release Date Price And Redesign

2022 Peugeot 5008 is a mid-sized SUV with three rows of seats. This style used to be a pick-up truck, but it has ended up being an SUV after it was redesigned in 2017. At the moment, its success is increasing and the Peugeot 5008 is ready to reach new markets. The seven-seater model offers facilities to the new eight-speed automatic transmission, but also imposes luxury engines and finishes. Due to the loss of the minivan, a new body and equipment appeared on the seven-seater.

The copy has lost some of its functionality. Greater access to new class features, but also better driving capabilities and off-road skills. The Peugeot 5008 2022 benefits, comfort and beauty. Whatever happens, the SUV is smooth to drive. Also, if buyers choose inexpensive liners, with 18-inch or 19-inch wheels, the truck gets a lot more elegant. The overall impression gets another boost from real leather cubes, stronger than the fabric seats.

Unfortunately, boats that will undoubtedly be interested in introducing the new eight-speed EAT8 automatic gearbox, connected to the 180hp diesel engine, will inevitably have to take the premium versions, the GT-Line and GT. However, the GT version, with 19-inch Continental EcoContact tires, is less eye-catching than the GT Line design, with the 18-inch Michelin Primacy usual for last season.

The seven-seat SUV reveals its full potential with a 190hp TDI. There is also a new version of the automatic transmission DSG 7. So the Peugeot 5008 GT EAT8 is a lot more fun to drive. At higher speeds, the Aisin initial automatic transmission includes smoothness. It is also completely silent, trying not to offend travelers also in the sports activities environment. More straightforward and thus resonant as well, it offers only a restricted interest rate as a result of handling and paddling. The GT model with the EAT8 averages 6.3 liters / 100 km (37 mpg).

2022 Peugeot 5008 vs 3008

Specialists were responsible for discovering 70 percent of the similarities between these two crossovers. The interior and its comfort are emphasized. The skill of these two is pulling the elbows. If we compare the new 5008 with its competitors, it is much larger than the new Skoda Kodiaq or the Volkswagen Tiguan All-Space 7-seat. Not to mention the Renault Grand Scenic, which falls outside of this organization.

Its modularity is equal to that of the minivan, but with a more modern look. The previous version identified some highlights, in addition to the comfortable and flexible seats in the upper stage. Additionally, there is space for charging.

The interior provides a stylish look and some of the more advanced features for an infotainment system. Touch screen sensitivity is definitely something we should aim for. Plus, the premium surfaces definitely make a difference. Under the hood of the Peugeot 5008 is the 2.0 BlueHDi 180 engine as one of the preferred alternatives. It produces 180 hp and 400 Nm of torque.

2022 Peugeot 5008 Update

Peugeot 5008 has received a series of updates for 2021 to further aid this seven-seat SUV to alienate buyers of models such as the Skoda Kodiaq and VW Tiguan Allspace.

New design for Peugeot 5008 2021

The most noticeable changes to the front of the Peugeot 5008 are the vertical daytime running lights. These replace the thick fog lights found in the outgoing car and help bring the new SUV in line with the 2008 and recently revised 3008 SUVs.

The grille of the new car now consists of many chrome squares that extend from the headlight to the headlamp. The lights themselves were also remodeled and the central disc cutout was lost as a fin. The front bumper now has a wide chrome trim instead of a thick silver insert, and black plastic inserts under each headlamp are now taller and thinner.

Peugeot hasn’t changed anything about the 5008’s side profile, apart from some new alloy wheel designs, and its rear end has also eluded major reviews. The trunk lid, straight windshield and brake lights look like a clutch in the departure vehicle.

New interior design for Peugeot 5008 2021

Peugeot hasn’t changed much inside the new 5008, so it gets the same roomy design, a low-profile steering wheel, and an array of gorgeous piano-like metal keys on the dashboard. The 12.3-inch high-mount instrument cluster is no larger than the old vehicle’s screen, but the center touch screen has been increased from eight to 10 inches on all but the base models.

Some new trimmings are available for the new Peugeot 5008, depending on the model you choose. Most noticeable are the Nappa red leather seats and door inserts in linden wood with chrome accents found on GT models.

Like the old car, the new Peugeot 5008 seats seven as standard. Peugeot has changed nothing when it comes to interior dimensions, so the rear seats are kid-friendly and should be roomy enough for adults on short trips.

New Peugeot 5008 2021 engines

The new 5008 can be purchased with the same range of petrol and diesel engines as the previous model. For starters, there’s a 1.2-liter, 130-horsepower three-cylinder petrol engine that comes with a six-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed automatic. There is also a four-cylinder, 180 hp 1.6-liter petrol engine that includes an eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard.

There is also a pair of four-cylinder diesel engines to choose from. The cheapest will be the 130 hp 1.5-liter engine that comes with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic. There is also a more powerful 2.0-liter engine with 180 hp and is only available with an automatic gearbox. Unlike the smaller 3008, you can’t have a Peugeot 5008 as a hybrid.

Safety and new technology Peugeot 5008 2021

The new Peugeot 5008 will come with a night vision system option for the first time. This uses a front infrared camera to help detect and display cyclists, pedestrians and large animals on the digital driver display.

You can also get it with improved adaptive cruise control that will maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, even in parked traffic. It is available on all 5008 cars with automatic transmission as part of the Drive Assist Plus Pack. You also get the 5008 with Lane Keeping Assist, traffic light recognition, and automatic emergency braking that operate up to 86 mph.

Specifications and equipment of the new Peugeot 5008 2021

Peugeot has not mentioned exactly what equipment will be installed in UK cars, but it is expected to come with similar trim levels to cars that will be sold in Europe, as shown here.

In the Active Edition, the Peugeot 5008 comes with 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, dual-zone air conditioning, rear parking sensors, a 12.3-inch digital display, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Adding an Active Pack option gives you foldable exterior rearview mirrors, Apple CarPlay mirror and Android Auto for smartphones, front parking sensors, and a rear camera.

Gravity Edge comes with the same basic equipment as the Active Cars, but it adds 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, tinted glass, and a 10-inch touchscreen with an integrated navigation system. An optional upgrade to the Allure Pack adds keyless access, ambient interior lighting, and a passenger seat that reclines completely to allow you to carry long luggage outside the trunk.

Choose the high-spec GT edition. The 5008 comes with a black painted roof, full LED headlights and additional driver assistance systems, including Adaptive Cruise Control. The optional GT package adds 19-inch alloy wheels, an electrically opening trunk lid, a more robust focus stereo and massageable front seats.

If you are not a fan of the chrome trim on the 5008, you can exchange it in the glossy black as part of the “Black Package”. This gives you a black grille, black “Peugeot” and “5008” badges, black roof rails and a set of black 19-inch wheels.

Price and release date of the new Peugeot 5008 2021

The new Peugeot 5008 will go on sale in Europe at the end of 2020 and should appear in UK showrooms shortly thereafter. 2022 Peugeot 5008 News

While everyone is talking about Peugeot’s return to the US market these days, this year is the year of facelifts. After the 3008, the older brother is also on the verge of receiving a mid-cycle refresh. Of course, we are talking about the second generation of the 5008, which has been around since 2017. The revamped 2021 Peugeot 5008 arrives and will be on the market at the end of the year.

For this important update, the French manufacturer has prepared a large number of novelties. There is a new style, as well as many novelties in the interior. We especially like the new tech features, as well as the hugely expanded list of security features. On the other hand, the range of engines remains the same, so you can count on two petrol options and two diesel options.

2021 Peugeot 5008 Design

Of course, the most noticeable changes are in style. This facelift brings new features similar to what we saw on the 3008, and that means a completely new front face, which comes with a new grille, with a stunning 3D pattern, as well as new headlights and a front bumper. Of course, there are Peugeot’s new vertical LED stripes, intended for daytime running lights, turn signals, etc. Another nice touch is the retro “5008” badge on the hood.

The back also comes with changes. You may notice reviews on the bumper as well as new trapezoidal exhaust pipes. The biggest change, however, is the addition of a strip that connects to the taillights and brings an extra dose of premium feel to this crossover.

However, the overall design remains the same. Mechanically, we haven’t seen any particular change. The 2021 Peugeot 5008 continues with the familiar EMP2 architecture and shares most of its parts with the smaller 3008. Of course, it has a long wheelbase and somewhat typical dimensions for the segment. We’re talking about roughly 112 inches of wheelbase, which is enough to ensure there’s plenty of space inside, but we’ll get to that in a moment.

Interior changes are also numerous. First of all, there is a new board design. While many things remain the same, the new digital instrument cluster makes the dashboard look completely different. It offers very cool graphics and definitely makes everything look more elegant. The same goes for the new 10.1 inch touchscreen in the center console, which looks great and runs really fast. Another nice touch is the addition of brushed aluminum.

Interior design of Peugeot 5008 2021

As for the interior space, things remain the same. This model offers two spacious and comfortable rows of seats and is one of the rare models that can accommodate three adults in the second row. The third row is relatively narrow, but typical for the class.

2021 Peugeot 5008 gets more safety features

Another thing we have to mention about the 2021 Peugeot 5008 is the addition of new safety features. All models now come standard with features such as adaptive cruise control, traffic light recognition, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, night vision system and more.

Powertrain

The 2021 Peugeot 5008 comes with many changes, but the engine lineup remains the same. So you can count on four family units, two petrol and two diesel engines, with the same amounts of power. The offer starts with a 1.2-liter turbo three-cylinder petrol engine, valued at around 130 hp. The 1.5L HDi engine delivers significantly the same power and more torque. Both engines are mated to a six-speed manual transmission, while an automatic gearbox is optional.

The higher trim levels come with either a 1.6-liter turbo petrol engine or a 2.0-liter HDi engine. Both units are mated to an automatic transmission, which offers three different driving modes: Normal, Sport and Eco.

2021 Peugeot 5008 release date and price

The 2021 Peugeot 5008 is about to hit the market at the end of the year. We don’t expect any major price changes, so the base models should be around $ 24,000. Some of the main competitors are models like Skoda Kodiaq, VW Tiguan Allspace, Nissan X-Trail, etc.
