2022 Mercedes Benz GLA. The German automaker has presented plans for the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLA 2022. For eg, MB ensures a sporty trip and more room inside. Yeah, it’s not a complete narrative. We find some more useful information on additional updates. One of the most interesting guesses is the latest edition of AMG. The GLA is a compact crossover, but when you hear the performance-oriented variation of 300 horsepower, everyone reviews its size. However, the new truck will likely use the same platform and its measurements should remain exactly the same.
The small SUV cycle is not very popular compared to all other sectors. Even fewer buyers are choosing the high-end segment. Nevertheless, the GLA tops that rate, even though the competition comes from competitors in the same country. The new Mercedes-Benz GLA 2022 is sure to conclude its first place on the track with all the updates the work takes root. Well, Volvo is making an impressive step up by launching the all-electric XC40. We’ll see if MEGABYTES is ready to answer this difficulty.
2022 Mercedes Benz GLA Engine
Under the hood of the Mercedes-Benz GLA 2022, a 4-liter and 2.0-liter turbocharger is matched. It could generate 208 hp and also 258 lb-ft for the current version. However, the company promised additional refresh and strength. The ride will be smoother thanks to the new suspension system. Additionally, the company is improving safety by adding additional features, such as Active Brake Assist. This is the main step in autonomous driving because the option has independent responses if the sensors receive a signal from the pedestrian. In addition, the new GLA will undoubtedly be more capable off-road driving thanks to the special feature plan, which consists of computer animation and lighting system.
2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA AMG 35
The design of the AMG 35 will be the upper part of the field level. The popular design is more robust thanks to the updates. The most prominent, however, is the 2.0-liter engine that produces 302 hp. The 4Matic all-wheel drive system is typical of the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA AMG 35 and the crossover requires just five seconds of muscle mass to reach 60 mph. The AMG’s special suspension system simplifies the ride, while an eight-speed transmission is typical on both versions.
You’ll definitely define this version thanks to the radiator grille and 19-inch wheels. The special design includes five-spoke wheels and an AMG spoiler at the rear. Inside, Mercedes uses more premium genuine leather upholstery with contrast stitching on the seats. There are still some optional features, like carbon fiber info. A business information system is installed with a 10-inch screen. MBUX has a lot of power, with excellent sound and smart features.
2022 Mercedes Benz GLA New Features
The all-new Mercedes-Benz GLA 2022 will be shorter than before. However, even die-hard fans won’t see the difference, which is only 0.6 inches. The automaker is clearing space for the new GLB crossover vehicle, which will undoubtedly be between the GLA and the GLC. So how did the designers make that bigger? Well, the visuals don’t offer that, so we’ll have to see the new crossover debut or on the streets. All we know is the SUV measures 4 inches high, but that only improves headroom.
But the driver’s bucket will increase. This damages the aforementioned head height, but improves vision. In addition, Mercedes has worked on other components, and now the new pillars do not cover their appearance as before. There is a new MBUX system, as well as a touch screen installation in the center of the control panel. They are modern, safe, and not distracting to the chauffeur.
2022 Mercedes Benz GLA Release Date And Prices
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA was about to debut this summer. Launch day has been set up very early in advance of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the delay is not official. The auto market is witnessing great successes and we leave this opportunity open. Anyway, until MEGABYTES confirms this, we’ll think GLA will definitely arrive here in the summer.
The rate is among the unknown information. The new divergence will put some value into the current price, which, by the way, is currently high. The YM 2022 will definitely start above $ 35,000 for the GLA 250. With some alternatives, the price returns to $ 40,000 fairly quickly. Very packed, up to $ 50,000. The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA AMG 35 is still unknown. The current performance-oriented version is more expensive, and the future crossover will remain in this location. We don’t know if it would be too expensive for the current MSRP. It would certainly be reasonable to see it listed for under $ 55,000, although you can get a luxury mid-size SUV for that cash. Mercedes needs to make an impact as the competition with the BMW X1 M and Audi Q3 RS approaches.

2022 Mercedes Benz GLA Update
Located at the bottom of the Mercedes-Benz SUV hierarchy, the small GLA-Class brings elegance and luxury in a compact package, and is brand new for 2021. Under the hood is a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that powers the front wheels. Through an eight-speed automatic transmission; All-wheel drive is optional, but the GLA-class is unlikely to be ready to take on the Rubicon. The improved AMG Edition (separately reviewed) will easily satisfy fans of speed. Improved interior materials, new technical features and a contemporary exterior design are notable upgrades over the outgoing 2020 model and the 2021 GLA will be compatible with the rest of the modern Mercedes lineup.
What’s new for 2021?
For 2021, the GLA-Class is a clean restyling. Although still similar to the previous generation GLA, the new model looks more distinct inside and out, helping it blend in with the crowd of Mercedes-Benz SUVs launched for the 2019 and 2020 models. It shares a platform. With other small offerings from the brand, including a slightly larger GLB-class SUV and an A-class sedan.
While it’s unlikely that anyone purchasing the GLA250 will explore the tracks, choosing 4Matic adds more than just all-wheel drive. Mercedes adds an Off-Road Engineering Package as standard on this model, which provides an Off-Road driving mode that reduces throttle response and power delivery. Some drivers may find it useful in certain situations, such as plowing through heavy snow. In our opinion, the Premium Package is essential as it adds a larger 10.3-inch digital display and 10.3-inch infotainment screen, which are combined into one continuous panel and give the appearance of advanced technology a GLA cabin.
Engine, transmission and performance
As with the 2020 model, the new GLA 2021 Series is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that powers the front or all four wheels. This time, the engine produces 221 hp, compared to the current model’s 208, and is mated to an eight-speed automatic instead of the current seven-speed automatic. On our test track, the all-wheel-drive GLA250 4Matic achieved a 0-60 mph time of just 6.3 seconds. Despite its dynamic performance, this score is actually slower than the previous model, which scored 5.7 seconds in the same test. While the 2021 GLA250 hasn’t lost all its redesign courage, the suspension is noticeably more compatible on rough stretches of road – a welcome improvement over the previous model.
Fuel economy and MPG in the real world
The Environmental Protection Agency estimates that the 2021 GLA250 will save 25 mpg city, 34 mpg highway and 28 mpg combined. The GLA250 4Matic all-wheel drive fuel economy estimate is reduced by 1 mpg on all three metrics. Mercedes says a plug-in hybrid version will be added later to the line. We haven’t had a chance to test the new GLA250 on the fuel economy test road on the 200-mile highway, but when we do, we’ll update that story with the results.
Interior, comfort and freight
One of the main complaints about the previous generation GLA was its cramped interior. Mercedes corrected that with a 2021 redesign. Rear-seat passengers have about five inches of extra legroom, as well as more shoulder and elbow room. This will help the GLA class compete directly with major competitors such as the Audi Q3, BMW X1 and Volvo XC40. The interior materials look luxurious, the climate controls and the vents are similar to what we see on the GLB and A-Class, with a column-mounted gear stick, an infotainment control panel mounted in the center console and circular vents along the dashboard. The load capacity is increased compared to the previous model and the rear seats fold flat; The cargo floor is now level with that of the sill, making it easy to move larger items in and out of the trunk. In our tests, the 2021 GLA250 can hold six hand luggage behind the rear seat – one more than it fits the next-generation model.
Information, entertainment and communication
Mercedes-Benz’s new MBUX infotainment system is, for better or worse, standard across the entire GLA-class range. Base models come with two 7.0-inch screens, one for the driver’s gauge display and the other for the infotainment system. Dual 10.3-inch screens are optional. This same setup has been implemented throughout most of the Mercedes line with mixed reviews from our editors. The system can be manipulated via the touch screen, using voice commands, or using the touchscreen control panel in the center console. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are the standard; Navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio, head-up display, and premium Burmester audio system are all optional.
Driver assistance and safety features
Neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) have released crash test results for the new GLA class. Automatic emergency braking is standard across the range, but more advanced driver assistance features, such as Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist, will require the addition of the optional Driver Assistance Package. Key security features include:
Warranty coverage and maintenance
Mercedes offers a basic warranty package, with coverage for four years or 50,000 miles. Lexus NX offers longer warranty periods, while other competitors such as BMW and Volvo offer extended contracts for free scheduled maintenance.

2022 Mercedes Benz GLA News
The new generation of Mercedes-Benz small crossover is here. It comes with many changes and offers more luxury to this compact package. The new generation improves ride quality, provides more interior space, and also comes with some new powertrain options. Of course, there’s also a fresh look, based on the company’s latest design language. The same is true for the interior, which relies heavily on older siblings like the GLC. The high-quality interior is complemented by one of the most impressive infotainment systems in the industry.
At this point, there are three powertrain options on offer and it’s good to know that the German automaker has already released high-performance models with the AMG badge. The new Mercedes-Benz GLA 2021 is installed on a new platform and delivers outstanding driving quality. However, the new paradigm is not without its flaws and we will also discuss them in the following paragraphs.
2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA redesign
This redesign brings a lot of new features and while the design is the first thing you’ll notice, we’ll start with the mechanics. Of course, it’s a new platform called MFA2. It’s the same architecture that underlies models like the CLA, GLB, and A-Class. So you can assume that the new 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA offers a similar driving experience. Still, there are some noticeable differences between these models and we especially like how this little crosshair handles.
Stylistically, the new model follows the brand’s latest design language. This is especially true for the front end, where you can find the latest headlamp and grille design, along with other design elements. The new Mercedes-Benz GLA 2021 looks much better than its predecessor and this is not only because of the new face, the rest of the chassis also comes with major improvements. The new style is more elegant and comes with cleaner lines. Plus, it picks up quite a bit of coupe styling in the back. Interestingly, the new model is shorter than the previous model, but the wheelbase is 1.2 inches longer.
inside
Inside, you can easily notice the influence of the older brothers. This refers especially to the dashboard, which comes with familiar circular holes, a digital instrument cluster, and a large touchscreen. They all resemble bigger models. We especially like the level of quality, be it materials or craftsmanship. It is simply difficult to find a major complaint in this regard.
However, one of the things we don’t like about this crossover is the cabin noise level, which seems too large for something with a distinctive badge. Another thing we don’t like about this crossover is the amount of cargo space, but that has always been a GLA issue. If you need a more practical luxury crossover, the BMX X1 offers more cargo space.
Features
The list of standard equipment is quite long, especially when it comes to comfort and convenience. Base models come standard with details such as LED headlights, power tailgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, simulated leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats with driver memory settings, and more. In addition to this, there are technological elements such as dual 7-inch screens, smartphone integration and many more. At higher trim levels, you also get things like 10.25-inch infotainment displays, navigation, an augmented reality screen, traffic light recognition, head-up display, wireless charging, premium audio system, and panoramic roof. And many more.
In addition to typical security features, you can also find many advanced systems, such as Active Distance Assist, Active Steering Assist, Evasive Steering Assist, and Active Blind Spot Assist. Of course, the list of security features can be expanded in a number of ways, as there are many optional packages that offer all kinds of security benefits.
Mercedes-Benz GLA 2021 engines
Currently, there is one on offer for the North American market. Base models come with the familiar 2.0-liter four-liter turbo engine, which now has slightly more power than before. In the numbers, it would be 221 hp and 258 lb-ft. Interestingly, the new model is slower than the previous one, despite the increased power. One of the reasons could be a new 8-speed DCT transmission.
There are also two models with the AMG logo on offer. The first is called the AMG 35 and delivers around 302 hp. The second AMG 45 produces 382 horsepower.
Prices and competition Mercedes-Benz GLA 2021
The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA starts at around $ 37,000. The main competitors are models like BMW X1, Audi Q3, Volvo XC40, etc.
