2022 Maserati Levante Review Specs And Redesign

2022 Maserati Levante. The 2022 Maserati Levante Trofeo Enhanced Edition was spotted while testing completely unmasked. This model is being evaluated for the first time this year, and according to the most recent information, it will be refreshed in the middle of the cycle. In general, there are no discernible outward changes. Furthermore, the most significant upgrade is behind the hood.

This model will come with a 4.0-liter V8 that delivers 590 horsepower. The GTS variant provides the least amount of horsepower. Additionally, the spy photos also reveal that the dashboard and interior are completely covered, so we can make major changes.

2022 Maserati Levante Design

Some photographers have seen the upcoming 2022 Maserati Levante Trofeo prototype in northern Sweden. The model was taken without camouflage this time and reveals some slight exterior changes. Most of the changes include reworked front and rear bumpers, and updated headlights and taillights.

Plus, the new Trofeo SUV has a narrow grille and we love it. As we already mentioned, this model is still in an early development stage and we can expect further updates. However, the test mule still had an aggressive body and a quad exhaust system.

2022 Maserati Levante Interior

Inside, the new 2022 Maserati Levante Trofeo will receive some updates. As before, this model will offer a luxurious cabin with seating for five passengers. At first glance, the dashboard and interior are completely covered. So this indicates that the cabin will have major changes. Our sources indicate that the redesigned model will feature a fully digital toolkit and an updated infotainment system. There will also be some minor improvements, such as new trim and upholstery options.

As per the latest news, Fiat Chrysler has announced a significant update. The updated package will provide the Uconnect infotainment system and a new 12.3-inch HD screen.

2022 Maserati Levante Engine

The current Maserati Levante Trofeo is the SUV that comes with a 3.8-liter V8 engine derived from Ferrari. Thanks to this engine, it develops 550 horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, the GTS model is available and produces 550 hp and 538 lb. This luxury model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.8 seconds. It is capable of exceeding 187 mph.

However, the next Evant Antitrufio will be available to me with a powerful 4.0-liter V8. This powerful configuration delivers 590 horsepower. It also comes with a new ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. According to the latest rumors, Ferrari will not produce engines for Maserati as of 2022. So this is the last Ferrari engine to power this SUV.

2022 Maserati Levante Release Date And Price

Maserati has confirmed the lifting of the new face of the Levante and we can expect this model to debut this summer. Along with the revamped Quattroporte, the manufacturer will also introduce the company’s first Maserati Ghibli hybrid.

Not surprisingly, the 2022 Maserati Levante Trofeo is more expensive than any other Levante. The starting price for this SUV will be just under $ 170K. If we compare this price with the GTS model, the cost of Trofeo increases by $ 50,000.

2022 Maserati Levante Update

There’s something in the 2022 Maserati Levante that just screams Italian exclusivity. Maybe it’s the attractive SUV bodywork or the distinctive Trident logo on the grille. Most likely they are from the warm-blooded engines of the Levante, which emit intoxicating sounds through their exhaust pipes. While many of its competitors start with a turbocharged four-cylinder and move to a V-6, the Levante skips all four, offering a twin-turbo V6 as standard, and allowing buyers to choose a twin-turbo engine with 590 hp. V-8.

Maserati also offers traditional Italian luxury inside, including leather upholstery and optional silk, by Ermenegildo Zegna. But since some unfortunate parts are shared with the more common Jeep models, the luxury Levante interior has not been fully realized. However, its boutique nature and striking style make it a desirable choice for buyers whose neighborhoods are already filled with SUVs from Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

What’s new for 2022?

The Levante gets a new Maserati infotainment interface for 2022, but unlike its sedan siblings, the Ghibli and Quattroporte, it has an 8.4-inch screen. The new software is based on Google’s Android Auto and offers a voice-activated virtual assistant, dashboard navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; The wireless charging pad is also new this year.

Although it adds more than $10,000 to the bottom line, we’d choose the Model S and its more powerful twin-turbocharged V-6 engine. The S also adds 19-inch wheels with a step-down setup, a leather interior with stitched-in keyboard and door panels, and a shaft-mounted power steering.

Engine, transmission and performance

While the Levante is not the fastest or most powerful performance-oriented luxury crossover, it certainly reproduces one of the best soundtracks. Under the hood of most Levante models is the V-6 biturbo transmitting its 345hp, or 424hp in S, to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. In our test of the Levante S, the car delivered from zero to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds, beating the Mercedes-AMG GLE53.

The GTS and Trofeo models come with a V-8 biturbo engine producing 550 and 590 hp, respectively. In our tests, the GTS sprinted to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds, while Trofeo did so in 3.6. With adaptive dampers set in Sport mode, riding the Levante is annoying when riding on all but the smoothest road surfaces. Comfort levels are more pleasant, albeit not flexible, with the pillows at their default settings.

Fuel economy and MPG in the real world

On paper, the Levante does not consume fuel. In fact, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates for V-6 models – 16 mpg city and 22 mpg highway – closer to competitors equipped with the V-8 compared to other V-6s engines. However, in our real-world tests, the V-6 impressed us with a highway fuel economy score well above the suggested 24 mpg ratings. The V-8 engine models clocked 13 mpg city and 20 mpg highway and delivered 20 mpg in our tests.

Interior, comfort and cargo

At first glance, the interior of the Levante appears rich and well-appointed, particularly in our Levante S test car, which featured an all-leather treatment in a rich dark brown color. Open-pore wood accents, a leather-trimmed instrument panel, elegant chrome accents and a traditional Maserati analog clock give the Levante a luxurious and old-school vibe. However, if you look closely, it reveals parts that are clearly in common with other Fiat Chrysler brands, for example, window switches, the wiper control lever and the power button are the same as those found on the Jeep Cherokee, which is disappointing.

However, the controls are functional and better than some of the engineering questionable examples that Maserati has single-handedly devised over the years. Speaking of ergonomics, the driving position in Levante is excellent and clearly set up for spirited driving. Like a pair of heels from Versace, Levante puts a big emphasis on style. Its cargo area still holds a decent number of hand luggage (eight behind the back seat, 19 with the rear seats folded down), even if the others in this segment fared much better. However, stop them all side by side, and Maserati’s courage trumps the practicality of its competitors.

Infotainment and communication

We haven’t had a chance to test the new Maserati infotainment interface, but it is said to be brilliantly displayed on the Levante’s 8.4-inch touchscreen. Most of the vehicle’s functions, including climate control, are modified through the infotainment screen, but the system also provides a voice-activated virtual assistant. Navigation is standard, as is SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. A wireless charging pad has also been added. Although an eight-speaker stereo system is standard, buyers can upgrade to the Harman / Kardon 14-speaker configuration or the Bowers & Wilkins 17-speaker system.

Driver assistance and safety features

Levante has not undergone crash tests. As a result, its performance in this area is unknown. Some driver assistance features are standard, and more advanced technology is optional across the range. Key security features include:

Warranty and maintenance coverage

The Levante warranty is nothing special, with a four-year or 50,000-mile policy covering everything, including corrosion protection and roadside assistance. Rivals offers something special to stand out from the crowd, like free scheduled maintenance or roadside assistance plan with unlimited mileage, but not Maserati.

2022 Maserati Levante News

Levante is a wind blowing across the Mediterranean, transforming from a calm breeze to a gale force in a split second. When Maserati began developing its first SUV, it was necessary to carry a name that represented tremendous power while still maintaining comfort. The Maserati Levante is powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six twin-turbo engine combined with the capable Maserati Q4 intelligent all-wheel drive engine.

Every aspect of its exquisite design is original to Maserati, from its robust and dynamic design to pure purpose, intense down to the smallest detail. With a focus on sharing, realistic support and connected entertainment, Levante includes an innovative infotainment package that is sure to impress drivers and passengers alike. Attractive interior amenities include premium perforated leather upholstery and an optional Harman Kardon premium audio system. No other luxury SUV has the inspiring personality and quintessential Italian stance like the Maserati Levante.

The most significant update to the Maserati Levante for 2022 is the major changes to the infotainment system. Although last year’s 8.4-inch touchscreen is back from the previous year, 2022 models are now taking advantage of redesigned software with Google Android Automotive. New features now available on Levante include dashboard navigation, a wireless smartphone charging pad, voice-activated virtual assistant, and smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Inspiring performance

The 3.0-liter V6 dual-turbo engines with Lianti hood and Evant Ante S provide everything you’d expect from a Maserati, from powerful exhaust sound to long-distance smoothness. Exclusively built in Ferrari’s Maranello plant, the Levante-designed powertrain is capable of reaching a top speed of 156 mph. The advanced ZF automatic transmission provides perfect response. You’ll also have access to the specialized drive modes: Normal, Sports, Off-Road and I.C.E. (Greater control and efficiency) for personal driving. The active air suspension, 5-way, and a limited-slip differential help transfer tremendous force to the wheels.

Luxurious cabin

Maserati understands that certainly not all leather is created equal. This is exactly why the Levante GranLusso and GranSport models can be equipped with natural Pieno Fiore leather, which provides exceptional smoothness along with unparalleled quality and durability. Available interior features include an open-pore regiment, matte carbon-fiber weaving and a high-gloss metallic weave. Levante GranLusso trim features a heated electric steering wheel and exquisite wood finish. Harman Kardon Premium Audio, advanced navigation and soft-closing doors add to the luxurious interior of the cabin.

Advanced technology and security features

The Maserati Touch Control Plus (MTC +) infotainment system acts as a command center for your favorite media in the center of the Levante panel. The next-generation MTC + system also supports Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto ™ mirroring functions. You can also control the front seat heating, as well as the ventilation, the heated steering wheel and the rear curtain (if equipped).

An optional driver assistance package provides Evant Antie with a wide range of safety features to keep you and your passengers safe from the unexpected. Some examples of these innovative features include Active Blind Spot Assist, Highway Assist System (HAS), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, 360 Surround Vision Camera and Forward Collision Warning.
