According to the report, the new NX will be about 30mm longer than the RAV4 and 90mm shorter than the Venza. It will also be about 15 mm wider than the two and 30 mm lower than the Venza. Imagine the 2022 NX as a wider, lower-profile Venza with a slimmer, coupe-like silhouette featured in the included designs. And yes, the front grille is still a large spindle, although the design continues to evolve with a somewhat firmer look.
Under the hood, there will be another familiar sight for the Venza: a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with three electric motors for a total output of 219 hp. We do not have an official torque rating yet. Expect the same CVT gearbox to transfer that power to an electronic all-wheel drive system on demand.
But unlike the Venza (for now at least), the next NX will also receive an optional, more powerful engine, as well as a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine capable of producing around 300 hp and more than 325 lb-ft of effort will be released soon. Torque.
