2022 Jeep Wagoneer. We’ve already written about the return of the Jeep Grand Wagoner. The company has already confirmed the return of the nameplate as a full-size SUV. However, we cannot exclude the 2022 Jeep Wagoner from these stories. In the past, Grand Wagoneer has succeeded in this model. Now these two will arrive together. Wagoneer will be the full size form, while the capital prefix will be used for the extended version. We can see it in the assortment of other US automakers: Ford offering Expedition and Expedition Max, while GM has Tahoe and Suburban long-body versions, and Yukon and Yukon XL.
So, after the success of the Grand Cherokee, Jeep is ready to launch a true three-wheel drive SUV, bigger than any other car. Well, all of their cars are very competitive in the market. The aforementioned model is one of our best-selling mid-size SUVs, even without the third-row option. Plus there is a Wrangler, which is ideal for off-road driving. If you like smaller crossovers, Compass and Cherokee will give you strength, reliability, and comfort.
However, all the major manufacturers are expanding their network in all possible categories. Oddly enough, the FCA does not own a full-size SUV. You can share a bed with a Ram 1500 truck, as well as many other parties. For example, Honda is one of the auto giants that does not produce such vehicles. The Ridgeline pickup is based on a monocoque platform, as is the larger Pilot SUV. So the FCA has the potential, which will finally be used when the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer arrives.
2022 Jeep Wagoneer Design
There are many questions about the design of the 2022 Jeep Wagoner. The first thing that comes to mind is a box SUV with unique graphics on the side of the body. This may be due to the new model, but the design will be more aesthetic, that’s for sure. In the 30 years that have passed since the SUV went out of production, a lot has changed in the sector. These compounds are more versatile than ever before. No other class can match the combination of strength, comfort and safety. In the 1990s there were trucks as indisputable working machines, sports cars with the best performance and driving skills. Now, the SUV combines the best features of these classes. The new look attracts attention and enhances the driving impression.
The interior is more predictable. You only need to look at some of the current models with the new facelift. As a full-size SUV, the 2022 Jeep Wagoner will provide ample space inside the cabin. The three-row, seven-seat design is the latest configuration for any Jeep. This is enough to attract buyers with large families. It’s still too early to talk about cargo space. However, if any of them were missing, the Grand Wagoneer would stretch the body just enough inches to hold more of the elements.
2022 Jeep Wagoneer New infotainment system
FCA is also working on a new infotainment system. Uconnect is keeping up with the competition, and the upcoming 5.0 will come with some amazing features, according to our sources. Well, smartphone connectivity is not in doubt, and the company is ready to take it to the next level with improved voice commands. The larger touch screen should be easier to use, which should improve overall security. We’ll see what happens with the audio system. The louder trim levels will provide the Harman Kardon with more speakers. Also, we were able to see the rear seat infotainment package on some of the higher-end models.
2022 Jeep Wagoneer Engine
One thing that is not a problem for the 2022 Jeep Wagoner: the power outputs. Engineers choose the configuration, but the large excavator will definitely use both V8 units available for other vehicles. However, the base version could get a V6 engine to bring down the asking price. However, this car would not be as popular as the Grand Cherokee.
The 5.7-liter V8 appears to be a perfect start. With 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque, it provides enough power and towing capacity for a full-size SUV. An eight-speed transmission is standard across the line. The Wagoneer’s towing capacity will be around 7,000 pounds with this engine. You can jump to 8,500 pounds if you choose the 6.4-liter Hemi. In this case, the power output could jump to 500 hp, if the rumors come true. For Grand Cherokee, this setup delivers 475 ponies and 470 pounds of spin.
Finally, the Trackhawk version could join the line-up. A 6.2-liter Hellcat engine with a turbocharger capable of providing 707 hp. Another option is a 3.0-liter turbodiesel that produces 260 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque.
2022 Jeep Wagoneer Release Date And price
The new Wagoneer will not arrive in 2021 as initially planned. The automaker had to delay the premiere as development slowed due to the outbreak of COVID-19. So when the situation calms down, the 2022 Jeep Wagoner will appear, most likely in the middle of 2021.

2022 Jeep Wagoneer Update
The Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will be a larger, more elegant lineup of SUVs from the brand that is often associated more with off-road than luxury. While we have only seen the Grand Wagoneer concept, which has a bold design and lavish interior, Jeep says a production-ready version and the regular Wagoneer will be hitting showrooms next year. Based on the Ram 1500 full-size truck with three rows of seats, the new Jeeps are expected to handle well-known SUVs such as the Chevy Tahoe and Ford Expedition, as well as the BMW X7 and Cadillac Escalade. This indicates that the Wagoneers will have a wide range of premium options, powertrain configurations, and price tags. We also expect them to be equipped with competitive towing ratings, abundant driver assistance technology, and serviceable devices that are everywhere for the company.
What’s New for 2022?
Although Jeep has revealed a close-to-production version of the upcoming Grand Wagoneer, we’re still not sure how it compares to a non-Grand Wagoneer. We believe the Standard Model will occupy prime space, while the Grand will be marketed to a wealthier audience. With that said, we can only make an informed guess about the Wagoneers’ potential powertrains and the ultimate list of features.
Jeep has not released any information about the cost of its new three-row SUV, but the brand head said the Wagoneer will cost about $ 60,000. He also said a fully loaded Grand Wagoneer will cost more than $ 100,000, so we think the base model will start somewhere in the $ 75,000 neighborhood.
Engine, transmission and performance
The Grand Wagoneer concept features a plug-in hybrid powertrain, but we have not been provided with any details about the paired petrol engine or the all-electric drive range. However, with the debut of the additional Wrangler 4xe hybrid and other PHEV models coming, it matches the company’s ambitious plans to ensure every model line of the Jeep brand has an additional hybrid or hybrid by 2022. Jeep says that will use both Wagner body mounts The frame is derived from the Ram 1500, but will ensure an independent rear suspension instead of the truck’s solid rear axle. We also expect Wagoneers to share engine and transmission options with the Ram. This indicates that a 3.6-liter V-6 with a hybrid system (called eTorque) will be the base engine. The more powerful 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 will almost certainly also be offered with eTorque technology. There’s also a chance the 3.0-liter V-6 diesel engine, which is optional on the half-ton Ram, might be in the mix. We are told that the Grand Wagoner will offer “unmatched” traction and will be available in three different four-wheel drive systems and air suspension.
Fuel economy and MPG in the real world
Neither Jeep nor the Environmental Protection Agency has released fuel economy ratings for the Wagner or the Grand Wagoner. Once these numbers are announced and given the opportunity for us to test them on our 75 mph highway (part of our extensive testing system), we will be able to rate mpg in the real world.
Interior, comfort and freight
With three rows of seats, the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will give large families the opportunity to relate to the Jeep lifestyle, which has not been possible since the existence of the old and unloved captain. Based on the Grand Wagoneer concept, the cabin appears to be one of the most elegant and high-tech cabins in the company. Although we’re not sure if the generous use of sustainable glass and materials would go into the production model, we think it’s very likely that the detailing was inspired by the original Grand Wagoneer, including the two-spoke steering wheel. The inscription “EST. 1963” appears on the edge of the dashboard when the door is opened. The driver will encounter a set of all-digital gauges and a limited number of physical controls. (Many functions will be controlled via the infotainment screen.) The interior has also been enhanced with customizable mood lighting and a full glass roof. The Grand Wagoner Concept has seats for up to seven passengers, with the second row featuring captain’s chairs and the back row featuring a seat for three.
Infotainment and communication
If you thought the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class had a lot of screens, wait until you take a look inside the Grand Wagoneer concept. Not only does it have a 12.1-inch cluster, but there is also a 12.1-inch center touchscreen that sits above a 10.3-inch touchscreen with controls for the HVAC system. In front of the front passenger seat is another 10.3-inch touchscreen. As you know, in case you’re not disturbed by interacting with the huge central screen that supports the latest infotainment software (called Uconnect 5) that is just inches away. Expect all kinds of popular content and connectivity features, from Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to Wi-Fi hotspot and wireless charging. The concept also includes a 10.3-inch touchscreen on the second row center console, plus a pair of 10.1-inch touchscreens for each occupant in that row. Oh, and the concept has a powerful McIntosh stereo featuring 23 speakers. Jeep proudly declares that it is “the only car audio system in the world supported by McIntosh.” That means it has to be good, right? It remains to be seen exactly how much this high-tech is being put into production.
Driver assistance and safety features
Obviously, neither the Wagoneer nor the Grand Wagoneer have been tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). However, we expect both Jeep models to offer a range of standard and optional driver assistance technologies such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, and more.
Warranty coverage and maintenance
Jeep currently offers a competitive, albeit uncomplicated Limited Powertrain Warranty. However, the company offers all models three years of free maintenance.

2022 Jeep Wagoneer News
The 2022 Jeep Wagoner consolidated its ranks with pickup trucks and more crossovers, but one product missing from its lineup is the three-row SUV. Soon, the FCA will fix that by bringing back Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer nameplates for the SUV that will rise far above the Grand Cherokee in the Jeep ranks.
Details will emerge about the upcoming large and often delayed SUVs, including what they will look like.
So we did an educated guess from this rendering, which might give you an idea of what a Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer really was when they arrived at Model 2022. Without a three-row SUV in its lineup, Jeep has lost offerings such as Volkswagen Atlas and Hyundai Palisade, which provide additional third-row seats.
Everything is set to change with the launch of the Jeep Grand Wagoner, which will start production in the first half of 2021. This will also see the return of the Grand Wagoner nameplate, which will rank higher than the Grand Cherokee in the Jeep SUV hierarchy.
Redesigned Jeep Wagoner 2022
Although details continue to be leaked, for now, we know that the Grand Wagoneer will be built at the Michigan Fiat Chrysler (FCA) plant. Initial rendering results show how the Grand Cherokee looks elongated, to clearly make room for greater seating capacity for the Grand Wagoner. The new Jeep SUV is also expected to share components with the latest Ram 1500 and will be built with Ram HD.
A very camouflaged test mule was seen using the independent rear suspension, which would free up space for the third row and place the Grand Wagoner with luxury SUVs like the Lincoln Navigator. The Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will be built at the FCA Warren Truck Assembly Plant in Michigan, as will the new HD Ram. (Previous generation 1500 classic RAM still made there)
FCA takes advantage of Warren’s factory approach to chassis to frame to look to handle full-body pocket sizes on the frame, although the SUV will share components with the latest Ram 1500. In essence, we’ve seen an unusual, closely-tested prototype Ram that we think is Wagoneer’s mule. In some of the test car photos you can hardly see the truck’s independent rear suspension.
Replacing the rear axle of a Ram truck with independent configurations should provide more space for third-row passengers, with the Jeep matching better with luxury competitors such as the Lincoln Navigator, Range Rover (which also has independent tears) and the Cadillac Escalade. The next generation (which is expected to decline regardless of the configuration of the solid). Production of the SUV will only start in the first half of 2021.
Our translation of what a Jeep would look like is a very interesting translation of the Jeep Yuntu concept, which was shown a few years ago at the Shanghai Auto Show. The concept eventually evolved into the Grand Commander, a seven-seat crossover that will only be sold in China. However, several Yuntu design elements can influence the Jeep Wagoneer’s truck-based design. One thing we do know between the two pocket cars is the plug-in hybrid transmission. In the five-year plan, the FCA revealed that the Wagoneer and the Grand Wagoneer will have a gas-electric hybrid variant.
Jeep Wagoner 2022 leak
Jeep plans to launch a large, exclusive SUV to deal with the likes of the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator. The new full-size SUV will revive the Wagoneer Jeep dashboard, and there will be a standard and larger Wagoneer, as well as the Grand Wagoneer. Wagoneer prototype seen. It is expected to hit the market in 2021 as a model year 2022. The Grand Wagoner should arrive around the same time.
Even with heavy camouflage gear, Wagoneer already looks big and brave. The traditional multi-slot grille in a pocket appears to pierce the camouflage gear, and we can also see a large square wheel arch. A shot with the Grand Cherokee on display gives us an idea of the relative size of the new Wagoneer. This is great Another shot gives a glimpse of the interior that looks like a large infotainment screen in the center of the dashboard. This is probably the same 12-inch touchscreen shown on the latest Ram 1500. Expect the Wagoneer’s cabin to be equipped with three rows of seats as well, providing room for seven or maybe eight.
This platform is a body-on-frame design found on the latest Ram trucks. Jeep Wagoner 2022 will feature independent rear suspension for added comfort. Under the hood, the Wagoneer will likely be offered with a 3.6-liter V-6 and a mild hybrid configuration or with a 5.7-liter V-8 at launch. An additional hybrid option could be planned and we might also see a high-performance option with the Hellcat V-8 supercharged 6.2L charger at some point.
We know the Hellcat engine was built for the platform because it will appear on the Ram 1500 Rebel TRX, also slated for 2022. An eight-speed automatic transmission should be standard in all ranges and buyers would likely have a choice between rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. Jeep has never offered a truly advanced SUV, but its brand is well known, perhaps more than some of its competitors in emerging markets. This allows FCA to offer a high-quality Jeep, although it is not a class expected to contain competing brands.
SUV sales continue to enjoy strong growth around the world and about half of those sales are made up of luxury models, so, understandably, many automakers are rushing to tap the demand. Even people like Aston Martin, Bentley, and Rolls-Royce have entered the segment. The Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will be produced at the Warren Truck Assembling Fiat Chrysler Automobiles plant in Warren, Michigan. The plant is currently building the previous generation Ram 1500, but it will eventually switch to an SUV. Before the Wagoneer arrives, Jeep will introduce a redesigned Grand Cherokee, which this time will have 2 and 3-line options.
Jeep Wagoner 2022 engine
As for other engine options, the Wagoneer can share some power with the new 1500 Ram. Potential candidates include the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 and the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8, possibly with the help of light-torque hybrids. The Wagoneer brothers can also get the latest 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6, which generates 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque.
But the most burning question of all, whether or not Wagoneers will be presented with slabs, as their classic predecessors were sold in the 1980s and 1990s, is widely open. We hope Jeep offers customers at least the option to put old-school decorations (pictured here!) On their large SUVs in 2021.
Price Jeep Wagoner 2022
You might not be able to see your SUV and trucks from the outside, but Jeep continues to drive further into premium areas. Three Grand Cherokee models now start at $ 50,000 North; A fully loaded Gladiator and Wrangler cost over $ 60,000, and the Hellcat-powered Trackhawk can reach nearly six figures. Suffice to say, we found no limit to what Jeep buyers would pay.
But a report from Mopar Insiders said Jeep was preparing to test it with the brand new Grand Wagoneer in 2022, which they estimated could be as high as $ 100,000 at the top level. The Grand Wagoneer is said to be a full-size, three-row, body-on-frame SUV that will run on the Ram 1500 platform. Mopar Insiders said it will be the most luxurious and technologically advanced car in the FCA ranks, and Jeep will position it to compete with the Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon Denali XL and Lincoln Navigator L Black Label.
