2022 Infiniti QX60 Release Date Price And Redesign

2022 Infiniti QX60. Nissan’s premium division urgently wants something to reverse the recent trend in sales figures that are actually in free fall. It’s very difficult to find more than a few models with decent sales figures. But things could eventually head in the right direction next year, with the launch of the new Infiniti QX60 2022.

It will represent the company’s second generation of players in the mid-size car segment. The current model is nothing more than a slightly more impressive Pathfinder, but things can change dramatically with the new model.

At this point, we don’t know many official details about the new generation. However, the test mule has been seen multiple times and it seems clear that the new model will be heavily inspired by the QX60 study concept. The new model is about to arrive in mid-2021.

2022 Infiniti QX60 Redesign

The test mule has been around for a while, but we are still waiting for details on the Infiniti QX60 2022. At this point, we can only speculate on the platform and the main features, but it looks like the new model will come with an upgraded version of the familiar D platform. Of course, we have big improvements in terms of the driving experience, especially when it comes to performance.

However, the new model will not depart from its original nature, which means that it will remain primarily a family carriage with an emphasis on comfort. So, we hope it’s a little bigger than before. The exact dimensions of the 2022 Infiniti QX60 remain a mystery, but we assume the wheelbase will get a few inches tall, considering the current base is hovering around a relatively modest 114.2. This increase will definitely have a positive effect on the amount of legroom, especially in the third row, which is a good thing now, but it will definitely use a little more space.

2022 Infiniti QX60 Design

In terms of style, there is no doubt that most of the inspiration will come from the QX60’s recent study concept. Although the test mule is almost completely camouflaged, this is quite evident. The overall silhouette looks much the same, while two open areas in the front show the same focus. This mainly refers to a grid, which will undoubtedly have the same pattern as the grid and will likely be of the same or similar shape. Plus, the headlights are narrowly focused as well, although we think they’d be a bit more “regular” in this case.

On the other hand, the rear end remains a mystery, although we are sure that the Japanese manufacturer will not try this part of the car. So I adopt a very classic approach. Another detail not to be missed on the test mule is that it features regular door handles, unlike the concept.

2022 Infiniti QX60 Interior

We just mentioned that the new model is probably slightly larger than the current one. This clearly indicates more passenger room. The current model is very good in this regard, especially in the first and second grades. The third row is fine, although I’ll use a few more inches. Therefore, this row may contain additional space. In addition, we have more cargo space.

When it came to dash design and overall layout, the Infiniti QX60 2022 study concept showed nothing. This aspect remains a complete mystery, although we have no doubt that Nissan engineers will focus on this aspect more than before. The current generation simply lacks that premium feel and lags the competitors like Lexus RX, Acura MDX, Audi Q7, etc. Of course, we’ll also see a whole load of advanced tech features.

2022 Infiniti QX60 Engines

When it comes to the specifications of the Infiniti QX60 2022, the new model remains a complete mystery. However, we expect the new model to ditch the existing CVT gearbox and to come with a new 9-speed automatic transmission. On the other hand, candidates for the new engine are many. The current V6 can easily be replaced by four 2.0-liter turbocharged engines, which provide a bit less power but provide more torque. This engine can be offered in lower levels. On the other hand, there is a possibility to see the 3.0-liter V6 turbo engine available on the more expensive models. This engine generates around 400 hp.

Finally, we won’t rule out the possibility of a hybrid powertrain. It might not be ready for the initial release, but it should arrive at some point.

2022 Infiniti QX60 Release Date And Price

The latest reports indicate that the launch date of the Infiniti QX60 2022 will happen sometime in the middle of next year. Price-wise, the current model starts around $ 44,500 and we don’t expect the next generation to be much more expensive.

2022 Infiniti QX60 Update

There is a new Infiniti QX60 on board. It’s expected to debut sometime in 2021, maybe around the 2022 model year. We recently tested what will come with the QX60 Study Model, overseas at least. Now a cars_secrets post on Instagram claims to show the world the gorgeous interior of a fully convertible SUV, as seen in the photo above.

How can we make sure this is a greenhouse shot of the upcoming QX60? There is no way to independently verify the image, and the shot does not offer a clear view of the Infiniti logo. However, the post also includes a video showing a full prototype of the QX60 in motion, and it looks practically identical to the QX60 study we saw a few days ago. You can watch the video at the source link at the end of the article. In simple terms, this appears to be the real deal.

As such, the bottom line is that Infiniti will follow the trend of interior minimalism that other automakers see. Compared to the current QX60, the center console is much cleaner with a large floating touchscreen placed above narrow HVAC vents. The current model was equipped with an incredible array of buttons for stereo and climate functions, but it all went here with only two dials placed on another digital display just below the holes. There are still some necessary buttons in the center console, and the high gear stick is being replaced by a small gear stick in the palm. It’s a completely modern update to the stylish crossover.

Based on our experience with studying the QX60, the next generation model should be just as attractive on the outside. The sleeker lines combined with the striking grille and flared wheel arches create a bold, elegant look, while the Monograph rear with its slim taillights and striking lower fascia is a major improvement over the current model. The typical video in an Instagram post shows an almost identical bottom backend, and even though the taillights are covered, they look as narrow as seen in the study.

Overall, it looks like Infiniti might have a winner in its hands with the upcoming QX60. We can’t wait to see the unveiling of this SUV before we can test it.

2022 Infiniti QX60 News

Infiniti has been reduced to five models. The Q50 sedan, Q60 Coupe, QX50 crossover SUV, QX60 midsize crossover, and QX80 large SUV sells. Of these quintiles, the QX50 and QX60 compete in the most popular segments. While Infiniti has redesigned the first model for 2019, the second dates back to the 2013 JX35.

It is clear that the redesigned Infiniti QX60 2022 cannot come before a moment. To see the upcoming changes, the luxury brand Nissan has unveiled a new SUV prototype called the QX60 Monograph.

Details are sparse and Infiniti’s descriptive language is flowery. Read between the lines and the new QX60 2022 will take on bolder yet simple design shapes that convey strength, sophistication and sporting spirit. The new look wraps around the 7-passenger interior that Infiniti says will remain spacious and comfortable.

When viewed from the front, the QX60 Monograph resembles a sharply modified version of the current QX80. The long grille, vertical air inlets, folds running on the hood and windshield pillars give the new QX60 a more pronounced presence. The “digital piano key” lighting elements define the upper edges of the headlamps, and are part of the welcome sequence that arises from the Infiniti logo on the grille.

In profile, the shoulder line extends almost straight from every front angle and around the rear of the SUV, highlighting a flowing glass greenhouse that deflects toward the tail, underlining the SUV’s rear punches.

The full-width taillights and a floating roof effect enhance the QX60 Monograph’s bulb fenders and wide track case, aided by the exhaust pipes and skid plates. Infiniti echoes the digital piano key above the taillights, and the rear Infiniti logo lights up after dark.

Infiniti says that the narrow pillars of the roof combine with the panoramic glass roof to provide a feeling of openness inside the QX60 cabin. However, the carmaker refuses to share details or plans regarding the SUV’s interior. Likewise, the SUV’s equipment remains a mystery, although it’s a good bet that it will share its platform with the redesigned Nissan Pathfinder.
