2022 Honda HR-V. The new 2022 Honda HR-V compact crossover will hit the market the following year. According to numerous reports, the next model will have multiple changes outside and inside. In addition, the new SUV will have a more attractive appearance and a better cabin, but will this be enough to compete with the rest of the SUVs in the same class today? definitely yes. If the manufacturer wants to remain competitive, they must add more quality materials and make some changes under the hood.

The HR-V is a minor crossover that is only missing in the engine department. This model is offered with a single drive option. Despite everything, most of its competitors have more than two engines.

2022 Honda HR-V Redesign

The new crossover 2022 Honda HR-V comes with a modified front end and thanks to this, the new SUV provides a sporty look. By choosing trim levels such as Touring and Sport, you get more outdoor treatment options. The Honda HR-V has a coupe-like appearance thanks to the sloping roof and rear window treatment and rear door handles that sit where the window forms its arrow.

This model rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, while the sporty model adds more elegant 18-inch wheels. EX models and above will be offered with an electric sunroof. Roof rails are standard on Sport models and above.

2022 Honda HR-V INTERIOR

The cabin of the 2022 Honda HR-V crossover will be offered with more features. However, we must add that the manufacturer will use a smooth internal shift this time as on the new CR-V model.

For starters, the next model will be more comfortable and a new infotainment system will be offered. As before, the Honda HR-V will come with the same design. It offers a spacious cabin with two rows of seats. Technology is new on the inside, and the base of the LX offers climate control, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The new Touring model will add additional comfort and include leather seats with an eight-way power driver seat. By choosing the Sport model, customers will receive black headliner, glossy black and sports pedals.

2022 Honda HR-V ENGINE

There is no official confirmation from Honda about which engine will be used on the new HR-V 2022. According to some reports, the next model will continue to offer the same engine as before. If true, then we can expect the same efficient 1.8-liter engine. This four-cylinder petrol from the current model delivers 141 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque.

This engine is the only option on the current model. Also, if the Honda manufacturer intends to compete in the market, some new engines may appear. By the way, the 1.8-liter engine uses a 6-speed manual gearbox and an optional CVT transmission. We can expect to use the same gearbox on the new gearbox. As before, on most mid-size SUVs, a front-wheel drive system is standard, while AWD is also available as an option.

2022 Honda HR-V Price and release date

According to numerous reports, the upcoming 2022 Honda HR-V will cost slightly more than the previous model. The new SUV will provide a sporty look and will also receive significant interior upgrades.

The current model starts at $ 22,500, while the new model from some gossip will cost $ 2,000 more. However, the rise to the price for the higher settings would range from $ 28,000 to $ 30,000. Honda’s new compact compact crossover will be available in the last quarter of 2020.

2021 Honda HR-V UPDATE

Small SUVs are all the rage, and while we see most buyers choose them for their stylish exterior or an active lifestyle image, some offerings – like the Honda HR-V 2021 – offer an amazing amount of practicality as well. Given that Honda will stop producing the Fit hatchback after 2020, the HR-V will soon function as the smallest vehicle in the brand’s North American lineup. Thankfully, much of what we love about the Fit still lives on in the HR-V, including a new second-row Magic Seat, which folds down to transform the ute compartment into a champion for cargo transportation. The rest of the HR-V’s interior is well designed if rather nicely, and is packed with plenty of amenities that will satisfy most small SUV buyers. In our testing, the HR-V is extremely slow to accelerate, so those who need extra power should consider the turbocharged versions of the Hyundai Kona and Kia Seltos.

2021 models will see only minor changes, as the HR-V sporty models will receive a new wheel design and window color on the rear windows.

Sure, the HR-V isn’t the cheapest or cheapest compact SUV, but it’s a great choice for people who want one of the most practical in the class. That said, we think the mid-range EX is the model to get. While it obviously costs more than the lesser HR-V Sport, it has better standard features. Notable upgrades include heated front seats, passive entry, sunroof, and several driver aids (adaptive cruises, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and lane keeping assist).

Engine, transmission and performance
Slow, noisy, and unrefined, the HR-V four-cylinder engine won’t satisfy your inner street racer, and the continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) exacerbates the rudder of the engine. With front-wheel drive, the HR-V manages to idle in 8.6 seconds at 60 mph. The addition of four-wheel drive slowed it further, to 9.5 seconds. The HR-V maintains the agile and agile handling of the Fit hatchback it relies on, but don’t push it too hard. The fluctuations when off-road and the body sway in turns can be resolved with better suspension damping, but when cruising on a flat road or highway, the HR-V settles for a more balanced ride.
