2022 Ford Puma Release Date Price And Redesign
2022 Ford Puma. The 2022 Ford Puma is going to be a lightweight crossover. The company is currently testing it, while the first teasers are available. However with a lot of time before the latest design debut, we could see a lot of changes. Also, the company hasn’t provided many details about Puma. Well, we understand that it will have something to do with the new Ford Fiesta, which, by the way, is not from America. Additionally, the secondary compression segment is currently occupied by the EcoSport crossover. So we have to wait and see if Puma changes the smallest car in its class.
What do we understand yet? Ford Puma 2022 is yet to come. The American automaker has released a major teaser featuring this approved design for the upcoming season. However, the exact release date and other details are still missing. We can only rely on spy shots and donkey checks, although everyone knows the truck will be different when it goes into production. This isn’t the only small version Ford is testing right now. Recently, we arrived at the new Carrier compact truck. Therefore, the automaker is more interested in pickup trucks in the coming years.
2022 Ford Puma Engines
Based on the Fiesta, but having a few things similar with the EcoSport suggests there’s little room for the Ford Puma 2022 engines. The hatchback uses a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 120 hp and also lb-ft of torque. A five-difference manual transmission is typical, and a six-speed automatic gearbox is optional. The carnival could also provide an enhanced contrast to the same driving range offered for the ST Edition. In this case, the power output increases to 200 hp and also to 202 lb-ft.
On the other hand, EcoSport uses two different units. The base version of the Ford Puma 2022 could have a 1.0-liter transmission. A triple in-line engine capable of delivering 123 hp and 125 lb. of torque thanks to a turbocharger. The 2.0-liter naturally aspirated potentiometer is an alternative with 165 hp and 150 lb-ft of torque. The first sends power to the front wheels, and the second mill also transfers power to all four edges of the crossover.
2022 Ford Puma Design
There are spy photos of the new crossover. Sadly, Ford stamped a new Puma to hide anything. From the exterior, we can see that the next model will have some similarities with the new Fiesta. American buyers won’t see the cool hatch for the microcomputer next year, so it’s definitely a real beverage.
2022 Ford Puma Competition
Up to this point, Ford remains a mystery regarding the new crossover. The 2022 Ford Puma could serve as a replacement for EcoSport. Or these two could be siblings, like Traveler and also Broncos, both of which are for the midsize market. Also, we can see a similar strategy from Nissan, which puts the Rogue Sport between Rogue and Subcompact Kicks. There are more theories, but we made sure the Puma crossover faced stiff competition from Toyota C-HR and Honda CR-V as well. Sales of Hyundai and Kia models are also expanding recently.
2022 Ford Puma Hybrid
He has big plans for the future. Work in all sectors that show the guarantee. Recently, we can see that it is producing small cars (Puma, Courier Vehicle …). However, presidents are preparing to spend a lot of money on electricity. In the coming years, a large number of Blue Oval trucks will arrive in hybrid configuration or plug-ins. Naturally, there will also be all-electric models. So we have reason to doubt that the 2022 Ford Puma will definitely bring something in a crossover configuration to the secondary pressure segment. Neither Carnival nor EcoSport uses such settings. Well, this is just speculation. For official confirmation, we will have to wait until the following year.
2022 Ford Puma Release Date And Price
There is still more than a year left for the first official models of the 2022 Ford Puma to appear. Well, considering it’s a brand new truck, the premiere could take place at the all-new Detroit Auto Show. The largest summer auto show has been proposed, so Puma will have enough time to get there. However, production and sales will start later in 2020. Ford has already revealed plans to build the crossover in exactly the same factories as EcoSport. Most of the European market systems originate from factories in Craiova, Romania.
The secondary compression model will certainly cost similar to the current EcoSport. If Puma occupies the stage with its currently smallest design, its cost could drop to under $ 20,000. However, the high-end versions and possibly the ST-tuned crossover will slow you down a lot more. For example, the turbocharged Carnival is $ 4,000 more than the norm. Plus, the fully-equipped EcoSport includes nearly $ 9,000 more than the standard version. However, it is now too early to make a specific prediction. By checking out the range of engines, we will definitely have products to evaluate the prices.

Ford claims the Puma has an attractive design and a pleasant-to-drive character. Despite its diminutive looks, it still looked like an excellent package. It has a frog-like face with a large grille and raised headlights. It makes this crossover look unique and different from the rest.
This little crosshair will come in some trim levels. For example, the 2020 Ford Puma ST-Line X package offers distinct bumpers, exceptional decorative parts and larger wheels. Compared to EcoSport, this car is only a few inches longer. But it is five inches shorter than EcoSport.

2022 Ford Puma News
Ford has a new compact crossover based on the same undercarriage as the Last Fiesta, which we don’t have here in America. And like the hatch it’s based on, the new crossover doesn’t head here either.
The crossover is named Puma, and an ST sports version was revealed on Thursday. Its power is around 200 hp and sends momentum only to the front wheels, essentially making it a high-driving hot hatch.
As expected, the Puma ST is powered by the same 1.5-liter turbocharged inline three-cylinder engine found on the Fiesta ST, which is good for 197 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission and the Puma ST will accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 137 mph.
To optimize handling to the maximum, buyers can choose a Quaife mechanical limited-slip differential. This works in conjunction with a brake-based torque vectoring system to improve grip and reduce spooky cornering. The wheels are 19 inches wide and are standard on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
Other improvements to the ST include Recaro seats for the driver and front passenger, drive mode selector, and a tuned chassis with stiffer suspension components, more aggressive brakes and faster steering.
Puma is produced at the Ford plant in Craiova, Romania. The plant is where the Ford Ecosport is manufactured for the European market, as well as the 1.0-liter engine.
The Puma does not replace the other Ford crossover, the Ecosport. Instead, it complements the Ecosport as a more premium and elegant urban sports car. Above the two sub-displays are the Bronco Sport and Escape in the compact segment.
Puma’s competitors include the Chevrolet Trax, Honda HR-V, Hyundai Kona, Mazda CX-3 and Volkswagen T-Cross. Kona only offers a performance variant, in this case the new 195 hp Kona N Line. Kona will also produce a more powerful Kona N in the near future, with both N models expected to arrive in the US.
