2022 Chevy Bolt Release Date Redesign Price
2022 Chevy Bolt. The Chevrolet Bolt EV is enough to make our best car of 2017, but that doesn’t guarantee selling dominance, especially when Tesla launches at the same price. The Bolt EV will be refreshed this year in GM’s first EV attack, and it will get a 2022 crossover shape from the Chevrolet Bolt EUV.
The Bolt EV is back in 2022 and shows us all that it can’t write off. The smooth SUV will have a renewed look and will also make its sister variant appear as an electric crossover called the “EUV” Bolt.
While we wouldn’t expect the term “EUV” (short for “electric utility vehicle”) to spread, the taller Bolt EUV should appeal to customers looking for an electric SUV rather than an elongated hatchback. Not only does the sleek and gendered styling blend in with Chevrolet’s latest design language, but also another trend of the EV Bolt’s weakness.
The name “EUV” or otherwise known as “Electric Utility Vehicle” appears to be similar to a relatively new term for Chevy to play with, and is innovative in some ways, but may take some time to gain noticeable momentum.
Since the EUV is taller than the Companion EV, it may appeal to some buyers looking for an EV with a regular SUV design more than any of its long hatchbacks. A style that is somewhat in keeping with the design firm’s signature style will also look bright and sexy, and potentially fix Bolt’s current flaw as well.
2022 Chevy Bolt Interior
Based on Bolt BEV2 engineering, the EUV Bolt extends 3 inches between the wheels to provide a wider interior space and 5 to 6 inches overall. The Bolt is really high, and we don’t expect the EUV Bolt to be higher, but the more upright design will make it look more like an SUV with lower ground clearance compared to the size of an EMOJI.
The long wheelbase would provide room for a larger battery than the standard 66 kW-HR Pak Bolt, which would logically expand the range beyond a smaller 259-mile car. However, this will remain front-wheel drive only, as there are no plans to add the engine to the rear axle.
Since the EV Bolt and EUV Bolt will still be on the BEV2 platform, they will continue to use the same battery and charging technology as the new Ultium GM battery. This means that they will still be able to charge direct current quickly, but they will not be able to fill at the speed that the Ultium batteries are more advanced and will not have the same capacity and range.
On the one hand, use of current technology will allow the EUV Bolt to enter the market next year, while BEV3 and Ultium vehicles based on their batteries will not be ready for another year.
2022 Chevy Bolt Exterior
Bolt EUV will also cover a variety of updates that are also rolling out according to Bolt’s standards, such as the updated interiors that are said to be more unique than the plastic ones. The company has been around due to a variety of concerns related to the current Bolt, which includes more seats, a more advanced infotainment system, and a gear selector.
However, the Bolt EUV will benefit from several optional upgrades not available on the updated Bolt, including the sunroof and the Super Cruise, a highly advanced cruise control system that allows you to drive the wheel on the highway; So far, the Super Cruise is only available on Cadillacs.
2022 Chevy Bolt Price
Additionally, the 2020 EV Bolt is priced around $ 37,000 (plus destination fee) and around $ 42,000 (plus destination fee) with the updated Premier Edition. The 2022 version will likely be priced starting with the improved Bolt variant.
Since electric cars are generally price sensitive and with the new Tesla Y model ahead of the EUV Bolt in the market, we expect it to be slightly more expensive than the standard Bolt. In 2020, EV Bolt started at just over $ 37,000 ahead of local, state and federal stimulus, with Trim Premier upgrades starting at just $ 42,000.
We bet the largest EUV Bolt crossover will rise slightly from Bolt’s initial price when it goes on sale in mid-2021.
2022 Chevy Bolt Update
Chevrolet has already made waves in the industry with the launch of the C8 Corvette that starts at less than $ 60,000 and has a mid-engine configuration. However, GM got another surprise when they said they plan to introduce a large number of electric vehicles by 2025, with the help of their modular platform and all-new Ultium batteries.

Additionally, GM also signed an agreement with Honda to share Ulitum batteries and its platform for the latter’s future products. Currently, General Motors sells cars of under 4 brands in the United States: GMC, Chevrolet, Cadillac, and Buick. General Motors has already discontinued operations of its Holden brand in Australia and plans to launch a new brand under the rumored name GMSV or General Motors Special Vehicles.
Chevrolet Bolt 2022 EUV
The Chevrolet Bolt EUV has been circulating for some time now. We learn more about which vehicle will be the upcoming Chevrolet crossover electric vehicle. Spy photos have been around for quite some time. But this story here is only about the interior and that it was recently secretly captured and points to a rather large screen in the middle.
2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV review
The interior of the new electric vehicle will be mostly similar to the current design and will soon be removed from the Chevrolet Bolt EV. But with the arrival of the new device, there have been some noticeable changes. The center now has a relatively large screen and we’re targeting a larger screen than the current 10.2-inch screen found on the Bolt EV.
2022 Chevrolet Bolt Rearview
In order to gain free space for the new screen and to be able to make the screen more comfortable and easy to access, the physical buttons have repositioned, including the hazard lights buttons. Essentially, it creates more space for the new infotainment screen and is more accessible. The three buttons in the picture are on the driver’s side and are easily accessible, although the danger has shifted to the passenger’s side. All this makes the screen more squared and much larger than the current screen.
Also, it’s worth noting that the Chevy Bolt EUV will have a completely different cabin to its platform companion, the Buick Velite 7, which will be China-specific only. The interior of the Velite 7 features a vertical tablet-like screen located above the dashboard, while the center console of the Bolt EUV will be integrated more seamlessly into the center console. Buick and Chevy Bolt EUV will share the same GM BEV2 platform, along with the vehicle’s layout and electric transmissions.
The Bolt EUV will hit the road in 2021 as the 2022 model year, and the EUV will be a larger version of the Chevy Bolt. It would definitely be taller as well, giving the plastic coating around the wheel and door openings, which also gives it a strong, criss-cross look.
The Bolt EUV will also feature a high-speed, semi-autonomous driving system. Bolt EUV will replace Sonic at the Orion plant, the latter being decommissioned in October.
