2022 Audi E-Tron S. At the Nürburgring, the latest Audi E-Tron S performance 2022 four-ring performance concept was spotted. According to the first spy shots, the incoming SUV appears bold and sporty.
Based on the regular models, the S-Badge E-Tron features three electric motors. There are two motors on the rear axle and one on the front. Also, like the standard E-Tron, the new model comes with a 95 kWh Lithium-ion battery that can deliver a range of 218 miles.
2022 Audi E-Tron S Design
The new 2022 Audi E-Tron S offers a design language almost identical to the standard E-Tron. Of course, some changes are evident and the S Model looks more aggressive and sporty. There are several elements available that describe this as a performance model.
Unlike the regular E-Tron, the new S comes with slightly larger air intakes and digital LED headlights. Moreover, the wheels and tires are more spacious than those on the standard E-Tron model. In the standard package, the Model S uses 21-inch wheels, although a 22-inch wheel will be available later as an option. We love the tough new design, not the original. Incidentally, on the back, we can also spot some changes including a revised tealight system similar to the Q8 system, a new bumper and diffuser design.
2022 Audi E-Tron S Interior
The interior of the Audi E-Tron 2022 looks impressive. Basically, the interior offers several dark colors and sport seats in premium Nappa leather. We can also see that the manufacturer has engraved the seats with an “S” logo in the middle.
Unlike the regular style, the new model offers more decorative additions, in addition to the Ambient Light Package. Of course, you can see many elements of the regular model inside, like the MMI touch response control system with two large screens. In addition, Audi’s large virtual cockpit is offered as a head-up display.
2022 Audi E-Tron S Engine
The highly anticipated 2022 Audi E-Tron S is an all-electric, high-performance SUV. This model uses three independent motors. There are two motors on the rear axle and one on the front. Thanks to this, Audi will be able to accurately change the torque between the rear wheels. Total power thanks to three electric motors is 370 kW (496 hp / 503 hp) and system torque of 973 Nm (717 lb-ft).
When it comes to battery and range, we think Audi will stick to the standard 95 kWh lithium-ion battery. As you know, with this battery, the EPA has rated 204 miles as standard on the E-Tron and 218 miles on the more aerodynamic E-Tron Sportback. According to Audi, the E-Tron S can provide better-than-usual acceleration. We heard the Model S can reach 60 mph in under 4.5 seconds.
2022 Audi E-Tron S Release Date And Price
The launch date of the new 2022 Audi E-Tron S electric crossover could happen this year. We don’t know the exact launch date of the E-Tron, but according to the manufacturer’s data, it will be later this year.
As mentioned, the new Four Rings model looks futuristic and unique. According to the manufacturer, the new model will start at $ 107,770.

2022 Audi E-Tron S Update
It is no longer enough to build an electric car. As a car manufacturer interested in satisfying environmentalists, you must be committed to sustainability. This means low emissions / carbon neutral plants, sustainable material options and renewable energy harnesses. The all-new Audi electric crossover, the Q4 E-Tron (and its sportier counterpart, Fastback) marks all three squares and then some. This isn’t just another electric car from Audi, it’s its mission statement.
The Q4 E-Tron heralds Audi in a new era for itself, and is the company’s latest offering of an electric car to the masses. Audi’s two predecessors E-Trons were an expensive mid-size SUV and super-fast sedan based on Porsche, the E-Tron GT. The smaller Q4 brings lessons from E-Trons to the luxury compact crossovers segment, and the result is an SUV that Audi claims is spacious, luxurious, and exceptionally usable.
The new Q4 E-Tron will come as a standard compact SUV and a more rotating sports car, emulating the now popular two-wheel crossover options from BMW (X3 and X4) and Mercedes-Benz (GLC and GLC-Class). Class Coupe) in the same place. As with these displays, the Q4 E-Trons will be mechanically identical. As such, most of its mechanical specifications are the same, but the ranges and load capacities differ slightly. The Q4s are based on the same scalable MEB architecture as the Volkswagen ID4, but Audi says it has worked hard to make sure the two feel completely different.
However, both Audi EVs share similar exterior proportions. The ID4 and Q4 are a fairly bulky compact crossover EV, the main differences being Audi’s more futuristic looks and less friendly face. The Q4 E-Tron is, as you might have guessed, between the Subcompact Q3 and the compact Q5 (although closer to the latter) in terms of size and will hold up to five passengers.
The suspension uses a McPherson strut design at the front and five lines at the rear, with shock absorbers and coil springs at all four corners, like the ID4. The two differ with the optional Audi Dynamic Package (which is standard on E-Tron S Line cars), which lower the suspension and add a variable-ratio steering system. Also includes? Adaptive suspension that reads the road every five milliseconds and adapts to the way you drive. This best of both worlds solution should result in a powerful handling when you want it and a comfortable ride when you don’t. There are also five driving modes that vary between Comfort, Auto, Efficiency, Single and Dynamic. You can also completely disable the traction and stability control on the Q4 E-Tron if you’re feeling upset.
A battery pack is installed underneath the Q4 floor, and the EV itself will be powered by one or two electric motors, depending on which of the three settings you choose. The lowest Q4 is the Q4 35 E-Tron, which includes a 52 kWh battery. The Q4 40 and Q4 50 E-Tron Quattro share a larger 77 kWh battery.
The Q4 35’s single rear-wheel drive and low-power battery pack also make it the weakest of the group. Its single engine delivers 167 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque. The Q4 40 also has rear-wheel drive, but its engine delivers 201 hp and the same 228 lb.-ft. of torque. The high-end Q4 50 Quattro has two engines, one on each axle, that together produce 295 hp and 339 lb-ft.
None of the three models have been classified by the Environmental Protection Agency yet, but Audi has operated some cars according to the European Coordinated Light Vehicle Test Procedures, or WLTP for short. The Q4 35 E-Tron’s rated WLTP range is 221 miles, while the Sportback’s added aerodynamic efficiency means it can cover 216 miles on a single charge. The Quattro is not rated the most powerful by WLTP, but the Model 40 is rated at 323 miles.
It should be noted that the WLTP standard differs from the EPA standard and tends to produce more optimistic numbers. What this means for Americans is that the EPA’s estimated fourth-quarter range is likely to be less than the WLTP number.
The Q4 E-Tron gets next-level interior design
Audi has moved to town with the interior of the new Q4, with high-tech displays and a design unique to ID4. The first two screens are an 11.6-inch touchscreen above the infotainment center console and all associated controls. Audi has partnered with Sonos for its high-quality audio systems, and the Q4s marks the first use of Sonos’ subwoofers in a production vehicle. The second screen is the one in front of the driver and houses the Audi digital instrument cluster.
There is another screen that is not as clear as the two above. For the Q4 E-Tron, Audi has developed a new front-end augmented reality screen. Like the unit on the new Mercedes S-Class, the AR HUD displays essential information on the windshield of the car, but the information appears to literally float above the road, superimposed on the driver’s view in front of you. The HUD can display status information such as speed limit, navigation directions, and basic information from the Q4’s driver assistance systems, of which there are many.
When fully equipped, the Q4 can have one front radar, one front camera, four peripheral vision cameras, two rear radars, and eight ultrasound sensors to handle various driver aids. The result is a vehicle with a well-defined view of its surroundings. Standard safety features include lane departure warning and collision assistance. Other features such as Adaptive Cruise Control with lane centering, Driver Monitoring System to anticipate driver fatigue, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Monitor, and Surround Vision Camera System reduce driving burden at least slightly.
Buyers also have a few options when it comes to the Q4’s steering wheel, the most interesting of which is the two-spoke design that has capacitive touch buttons for all of its controls. The wheel itself is not a wheel, either. It is almost square. Don’t worry, a more traditional round wheel is also offered. Hey, at least not a yoke.
Since this Q4 E-Trons is an SUV, it should have at least a small amount of utility. The Q4 has 19 cubic feet of cargo space behind the back seat, but you can fold it down and open up the space to just over 52 cubic feet. The Sportback model has similar space with the rear seats raised, but with the rear seat down, the sloping roof line reduces the number of cubes of capacity compared to the Q4 rear seats. Also, Audi clarified that it says the Q4 door compartment can hold a liter bottle of syrup, which is neat.
The true cost of the fourth quarter
Audi’s latest electric cars are built at a carbon-free plant in Zwickau, Germany. Although battery production consumes a great deal of energy, Audi has made sure that battery suppliers use energy from renewable sources during the production process. Even better, 27 parts of Q4 are made from recycled materials, including cabin insulation and some interior upholstery and floor coverings.
The Q4 40 E-Tron is the first model to hit the market and will go on sale in June. Before taking into account the tax incentives in place, Audi says it will cost 41,900 euros, or just under $ 50,000 at the current exchange rate. The other two will arrive later and are likely to be booked in the late 1940s with a fourth-quarter price, and the Sportback models carry a $ 2,400 premium on standard crossovers. For those who care deeply about the new Q4, there will be a luxury, fully loaded Edition One model that adds $ 7400 or so to the car’s price, but keep an eye out for final US market pricing. Driving range closest to the date of sale.

2022 Audi E-Tron S News
Audi has big aspirations for electric luxury cars, and the 2022 Sportback Q4 e-tron and Q4 e-tron SUVs will double the size of the company’s e-tron line focused on electric cars. Smaller than the midsize e-tron SUV, the Q4 brothers sit in a space similar to the Q5 gasoline-powered compact crossover. While the basic powertrain is a single 201 hp electric motor and a 77.0 kWh battery pack, it is a more powerful 295 hp twin-engine configuration with optional all-wheel drive. The battery is said to offer a range of up to 250 miles per charge. The Q4 e-tron models will deal with other compact electric SUVs such as the Tesla Model Y and the Volvo XC40 Recharge when it goes on sale. Expect to see the Q4 e-tron at Audi dealerships in late 2022.
What’s New for 2022?
The Q4 e-tron and the Q4 e-tron Sportback are all new models for 2022. They join the larger e-tron SUV and e-tron GT sedans in Audi’s fast-growing line of electric cars.
While no official pricing has been announced, Audi said the base Q4 e-tron 40 will start at around $ 45,000. Those who prefer the coupe look over their SUV can opt for the more agile sporty model, which is offered with a two-wheel drive powertrain setup.
Engine, transmission and performance
The basic configuration of the powertrain is called the 40 and consists of a single 201 hp electric motor and a rear-wheel drive. This is the same setup found in the mechanically similar Volkswagen ID.4, which covered 60 mph in 7.6 seconds on our test track. With an electric motor driving each axle, the more powerful Q4 e-tron 50 and Q4 e-tron Sportback 50 with all-wheel drive generate 295 hp. The result is a declared time from zero to 60 of 6.2 seconds. This is not as fast as the petrol-powered Audi Q5 SUV, but it is still active compared to other premium gasoline-powered compact crossovers. The adaptive suspension should keep the ride smooth. We’ll know for sure when we’ll get the chance to test the Q4 e-tron models.
Range, charging, and battery life
The Q4 e-tron’s 77.0 kWh battery pack is said to deliver up to 250 miles per charge. The Q4 e-tron supports loads of 125 kW and according to Audi, the charge state can reach 80 percent in about 30 minutes.
Fuel economy and MPG in the real world
The EPA has not released any fuel economy estimates for any of the Q4 e-tron models, but we do expect it to be competitive with other electric SUVs like the Jaguar I-Pace and Tesla Model X. Once we get the Q4 e-tron to Our test office, we’ll complete the 200-mile highway fuel economy route and update this story with the results. For more information on the Q4 e-tron fuel economy, visit the EPA website.
Interior, comfort and cargo
The interior is a technical showcase of Audi’s latest and greatest gadgets. The interior of the Q4 e-tron is similar to what is available in other Audi and includes some unique features, such as a square steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls and a gear selector with paddle shifters. Although the Q4 e-tron concept has been offered strictly as a four-seater, the production version will offer five-seater seats. The interior passenger space should be approximately the same as the Q5 petrol space. However, the cargo space is not that generous.
Infotainment and communication
The Q4 e-tron will feature the latest version of Audi’s MMI system. A standard 10.3-inch digital display and a large 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen are angled towards the driver for easy access to its various menus and functions. Audi will also offer a head-up display with an augmented reality function that can display information such as navigation instructions or driver assistance warnings in the driver’s line of sight. We hope that Wi-Fi hotspot and wireless charging will also be provided for compatible smartphones.
Driver assistance and safety features
The 2022 Audi E-Tron S models will be equipped with several driver assistance technology features, such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and automatic emergency braking. For more information on the Q4 e-tron crash test results, visit the websites of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Key security features include:
Warranty coverage and maintenance
The Audi Q4 e-tron and Q4 e-tron Sportback will offer the same powertrain and a limited warranty as the larger e-tron SUV. Audi maintenance free is less generous than BMW, Jaguar and Volvo offer, but the e-tron’s electrical components are covered for an extended period of time.
