Another option is a 3.6-liter gasoline engine. In that case, it would get 310 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque, but the trailer drops to 7,000 lb. Additionally, the engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, while the diesel is mated to a six-speed transmission. All-wheel drive is standard on all ZR2 Bison groups and delivers excellent traction and balance. The package will make the truck consume more fuel, but it depends on the terrain. The initial success of the first Bison made the company consider increasing production. There will be at least 2,500 units in 2021. Chevrolet doesn’t spill out what’s under the updated Colorado’s hood, but we do expect the current crop of engines to continue. This includes a 2.8-liter 186-horsepower four-cylinder turbodiesel, a 2.5-liter 200-horsepower, and four 308-horsepower V6 engines.
The price is still not announced, but Chevrolet claims its updated mid-size truck will go on sale in 2020.
